  • a guy near me has this set for sale on craigslist. Just wonder are they any good? Do they break a lot?

  • @biotoxin21 i sold them to upgrade to the td9sx, but they worked great while i had them.

  • What's in the cage in the background? :O

  • @RatsPal our pet ferret

  • Ns man u are awesome!!! Thumbs up

  • @60rahotham - thanks a lot bro, appreciate it :)

  • that kit is decent, but i do not like the pedals and the way you cant adjust very good.. i play it for a school retreat lol

  • i actually dunno what to take the roland TD-9SX or the roland HD-1

  • @lord0robbie - well the td-9sx is definitely the better kit, it will just cost u a lot more. the HD-1 is smaller and more portable if u live in a tiny place. You can play any electronic set with earphones if disturbing neighbors is an issue.

  • @DaddyDrums1 alright i think im going to buy a roland hd-1 first cuz these drum kits are very pricey and cuz i gave alot money away i only have like 160 bucks

  • @lord0robbie hd-1

  • I have been thinking should i buy this drum set. It's small enough so it fits in our apartment and it's not noisy, but i'm a little confused about the bass drum pedal. Does the bass drum feel realistic at all?

  • @oofukuinen - it does take some getting used to. it doesn't feel exactly like a regular bass pedal, but it still feels like playing drums once you do get used to it. the kit is ideal for an apartment, given the size volume control, options to use headphones, etc. I've since upgraded to the td-9sx, but would definitely recommend the hd1. i started playing a lot more once i got it.

  • @nirvanapixiesmisfits - i had a few different acoustic sets, but u have to turn the music up so loud when u play along i was blasting out the family and neighbors. the electronic kits just enable me to play a lot more often. i like the feel of the acoustics better, but roland is pretty good and u get multiple kits in one, so the trade-off is worth it to me.

  • that was sick

im sure Micheal would give you props for that =D

  • @BladeBoyMGO - thanks Blade, it's really a cool song to play

  • @DaddyDrums1 yea it sounds great

    keep it up =D

  • That was amazing. As a drummer and guitarist, great job.:D

  • @huggarugga - thanks hug, it's a really fun song to play. i re-did it on my td9sx and was able to record directly to my computer so the sound is better quality.

  • yo i wish my dad was like you fo real...

  • @YoIamBobby - thanks Bobby, my kids r keeping me young :)

  • great job!

  • @blastcampairsofter - thanks blast, appreciate it

  • is the animal in the cage still alive??

  • @rula42 - yep, alive and happpy, rummaging through my room as we speak

  • It's MICHAEL JACKSON, not AFF, they suck!

  • We can't all be obsessed with MJ

  • @DaddyDrums1 Yeah, I like Alien Ant Farm more... they don't touch small children, at least I don't think..

  • WOW, exelent amount of views there ! but indeed, this is still a great rythem to listen to :-D maybe you could redo this on your new kit, should sound great !

  • Thanks MM. I might just do that :-)

  • @DaddyDrums1 :

maybe this time the Alien Ant Farm version with vocals ? :-D hahahaha

  • nice drumming :-) it would be really useful to know what drum monitor or amplifier youre using (i'm planning to get the kit and i dont know if it would be a good idea to run it through my guitar amplifier)

  • It's the Roland pm-01 monitor, but i think your guitar amp would work fine if u don't want to spend the extra $

  • Any speaker will work really.

You amp should be fine. I currently run it thorugh my PC hooked to addictive drums.

I hav my PC hooked to my hifi

  • Nice one.

  • Thanks Doc!

  • Michael jackson's version is better

  • He is a legend and I like both versions. The drums are funner (for me) on this one.

  • does anyone know the difference between roland hd1 and hd1 lite cos this looks like a good kit and which i should get

  • I think they are the same kit

  • can I learn to play drumms through youtubu video clips and other stuff, or I need a couple classes?

  • Well it depends. If u already have the basic skills, YouTube can be a big help. Starting from scratch and trying to learn just by watching YouTube would be pretty hard I think. I would start by learning the rudiments on the snare, then learn basic beats on the hi-hat, snare and base, then go from there.

  • Do you have to buy the cable for the MP3 player separate or does it come with the HD-1 kit? Nice video too!

  • You know I honestly don't remember, but they are not that expensive if you have to buy separately. You might want to ask MusicManiac - he has and HD1 too and I'm pretty sure he will know.

  • No just bought them.

  • @RenkyuRyu

the cable for the mp3 player is just a minijack stereo to minijack stereo. you don't need a long cable, as the port on the hd-1 is verry close to the mp3 holder just below the drum brain of the hd-1. i just bought it at a hifi store, not even a special one. it's verry cheap, and it works verry well on anny drumkit that has a minijack stereo plug.

  • thats one cool rockin daddy

  • Thanks Knuckles, appreciate it :-D

  • you are a great drummer, thanks for the advice about the drum kit

  • Any time and thanks a lot :-)

  • Thanks Harry. Yes, overall this is an excellent kit to practice on at home. I love the tuning of the kits, the volume control - the volume of the drums and any music you plug in is very well balanced and u can turn it up or down as loud/low as u want. Two things i don't like: with low volume u hear the plastic sound of the cymbals; they wasted some of their kits on goofy stuff i never use. But overall, i'm VERY happy with it - i'm able to play/practice a lot more without blasting everyone out..

  • So this drum kit worth getting then?

    Like your videos :)

I don't play but I have money and week off work and really fancy a stabb at learning.

  • Wow! I really like this song and you played it perfectly! Keep rockin'

  • Thanks Denton!

  • Hahaha, nice finish. Bit sloppy at times but I wouldn't be able to play it like you did. Gotta practice a lot.

  • Thanks Miko. Was that you on the snowboard video?

  • You're welcome. Nope, it's my friend's video, I only ran it through deshaker to test the quality of the software stabilisation. I'm a faithful skier :-)

  • pls do a cover on born for this the final riot version by paramore they have the best intro its about 1 minute plus very nice intro hear it and do a cover on it :)

  • Thanks KD - I played for about 6 years as a teenager and in college but laid off for awhile after that. I got back into it in the last year. The electronic kits made it easier to integrate into my home life.

  • Great job! How many years have you been playing drums again? Amazing! :)

  • ur good not bad i am also goin to get that hd-1 v drums too

  • Thanks a lot ashvin. It's been a great home practice kit, pretty happy with it overall.

  • Way to go Yo' Bro'! Awesome performance. My kids said look at how fast those drum sticks are moving!

  • Thanks yo bro - have a great time with Ratliff next week. :-)

  • Thanks Maniac - it's definitely funner to play than the original :-)

  • WOW, two thumbs up and 5 stars for your exelent performance. this sounds better than those "computer drum" tracks that where populair at the time of the release of MJ's orginal smooth criminal. not that i dislike MJ's version, that's just a classic, but from a drummer's point of view, this version is much more interesting ! keep on rocking !
