Here's a question. Has any Coyotes' home game ever been as loud as a Jets home game? This vid proves that the Jets may have been in a small town with a small arena, but fans actually showed up and were probably some of the loudest in the league.
Florida may not be ideal for hockey....but Tampa Bay nor Miami (Florida Panthers) got their hockey teams by stealing another cities team.....unlike Phoenix, Carolina, and Denver....they didn't have plans for a new arena, but Jets, Whalers, and Nordiques all had strong followings. Had they not moved...the Whalers, Jets, and Nordiques would all be entering their 39th year as a franchise, and 32nd season in the NHL
Real hockey fans are being deprived while the fans down in the Sun Belt continue to only care about football and blow off their hockey franchises.
Carolina I think is the only Sun Belt team that actually has fans that show support in their relocated franchise... Denver is good market, too.
But Phoenix... Phoenix is a joke. Just like Florida, the fans in Arizona only show support when their teams make the playoffs, and that goes for every sport down there.
I'll agree with Winnipeg should have a NHL team.. i DON'T agree with Phoenix relocating back here, Phoenix is not a winning team. untill then i'm goin to enjoy affording moose hockey lol
Honestly, I don't think the Brass that are in charge of the NHL's return to Winnipeg want that franchise. Sure, it would be poetic justice however; it sure would be nice to start fresh with a new name; new franchise & not help "restore" Bettman's reputation!
If they ever get a new arena I think they could. The Nordiques had the best attendance records in all teams that relocated in the '90s. only problem a team in Qc would get is that some players would probably do like Eric Lindros because almost everything is written in french there (altough there are MUCH more english speaking people than there were in the '90s. Speaking english is even a requirement to get a job there now)

They do want Phoenix or else they wouldn't of put a bid in for them. It wouldn't be the same if it wasn't the Jets

Give the Jets back to Winnipeg.

Winnipeg does deserve a team so does Hartford. Florida and Atlanta need to go away and give teams back to those real hockey cities.

Yup people forget that Hartford got screwed too, like Winnipeg.
That being said Quebec will not get another team IMO unfortunately.
