Mel thank you for all the beautiful music. I wish you knew that there were people in remote tiny villages in the far flung corners of India that grew up listening to and loving your music. RIP

WOW! I remember when Mel passed out promo pieces for a song he had just came out with, possibly his first release..ROLL YOUR OWN...and passed out the old cloth tobacco pouches with wrappers and had an old van painted like a purple-ish or maybe blue but had the cig. rolled painted on the side and I got one and had it for years and he was on Ed Bruse and Pat's show that use to be over on 8th avenue.
What a sad song, and Mel looks and sounds as tho he's singing his story. I guess that is what makes a country song really good. I could listen to it all day.
