I fucking pwnd at this game. lol I dont know why but for some reason I ALWAYS beat this game on any skill level for everything like amout of gold domination and everything.. secret is having lots of cities culture and technology and try not to meet another civilization if you do, wipe them off the map.

@billnyethe1742 thats what i do. i mostly play as english or russian and i always try and find mountains to put my capital in. then spread out with villages but i dont putem too close together. i have it down to a science :P

@bigkaboom34 Also don't to take over barbarians early they tell you good info and build lots of libarys, universities and also have many cities and USE THE RESOURCES lol if theres gold in a mountian put a city there base everything off of wealth and build banks and what not then have another cities based mainly on science then production cities and alllllllwaaays build roads you never know when you have to move troops and cities too close to others always build walls and never give tech or ppl

@shawndw1000 This game is actually very entertaining. I requires quite a bit of strategy (and luck) at the higher difficulties. It has its weak points though, but that's mainly because of how old it is.

@MatthewDeBrittania but the graphics look so childish. The gaming might be good..but I couldn't take it serious esp from a historical perpective. Kinda like the god awful Age of Empires 3. Freaking Lion King graphics. I will prob just stick with the Total War series.

hey, i played as France one game and the map itself looked like it was france, it was almost exactly. and i played with Britain, America, Germany, and the Romans. germany& america were bordered, i was soon bordered with germany, rome was on a pennyinsula(not near me though) and britain was on an island(also not close to me). it was awesome.i made WWI, WWII, made UK fight US, and then i fought UK, and the governments were the same.... it was kick ass.

if you want a technological victory be Cleopatra move into a bunch of zones surrounded by desert (water works too to a lesser extent) set city's to produce science(obviously) make sure to build library and trading post, and make sure your a democracy

@lancevancedance It's like the PC Civ games but simplified, which is good if you wanna play a game in a small amount of time (not 24hrs like the originals) The shorter playtime also makes for better multiplayer as people are less likely to have to leave and you can actually complete a game instead of having to stop and start another day.
