They're not sell outs. Sell outs are people that don't enjoy the music they perform, and most of the time don't even write themselves. Metallica plays what they want and what they enjoy (and what they write themselves). People that hate on them for not playing thrash anymore, are just fucked up to me. Yeah they don't play thrash anymore, but Death Magnetic was actually a pretty good fast paced record. Them doing what they want is the opposite of selling out.

I gave up on them in 1994 when they released their first no-testotsteron album ....then in 2007 discovered that the band recovered from the coma and actually kicks ass harder than before, thats one of the the unique bands in mainstream metal!
