Only bitches cry about Sawed Offs they've been nerfed so fuckin bad since this video if you cant win a shot gun battle with a gnasher against a SO then you are horrible.
Instead of goind directly for the torque bow/sniper, run across the lobby on the left side (If you're COG) or right side (If you're locust). The opposing team will be either right around the corner shooting or picking up the sniper/torque. Either way, their backs will be facing you.
@Bloodthirst3r It actually takes more skill to use than the Gnasher. This is coming from a Gow1 Gnasher user and GoW2 Gnasher user. The gnasher has insane range and can easily down two shots at mid range. SOS is strictly melee range now. Gnasher is one of the easiest guns to use now.

Of course i could care less about the shotguns because its that lancer that needs some nerfing. Over 60 bullets in 1 clip! In gears 1 it only had 40 and in gears 2 it had 50.
@ShadyJ96 no im pretty sure it only had 40-50 because you ran out of ammo very quickly on gears 1 while using the Lancer Assault Rifle. I remember always active reloading all the time on that gun. You dont lose as much ammo on gears 2-3 because they obviously added a little more ammo plus stopping power. So yes stopping power is part of the reason but the clip needs to be toned down on the Lancer. Maybe the active reload too.
@Sc0ttyz23 It did have 60 though. I think it would be a major improvement if they took 10 bullets off the lancer clip and added them to the hammerburst.

@handymarco45 people only rushed if they played pub matches on gears 1 and 2. If you did gamebattle or ranked matches people will use any tactic to win hence lancering the other team while 1 or 2 of your teammates moves in for the kill.

I only use the sawed off in Horde, to keep grinders and the occasional corpser off my ass. Honestly as much as it pisses Me off, there are times that it does come in handy usually especially for KoTH. Also in Horde they are a act of force to be reckon with. I think they modified it a little so it's not as suspenseful as it use to be but still, If you don't want sawed off, retros, there's always the option of playing the Alpha Gameplay where everyone stars with a Gnasher and Lancer and the others are pickup weapons
This is actually quite common in games on KOTH when you get all the idiots who stand in the area all because they want 300 points not realising its stupid to all stand together

the sawed off shotgun is only good if your not going to miss the shot because if you do, youre screwed so its better to have a gnasher shotgun its a one shot kill and its effective at longer distances also if you miss the shot you still have ammo and its better for multiple enemies at close range flanking if you know how to use it as in knowing how to strafe and wall bounce around enemies

@c2fan22 exactly.the DBS gives you 1 freaking shot to do damage or run like hell. The gnasher gives you more, can down/KILL you form short - and most ridiculously - LONG ranges. A gnasher is usually more lethal and reliable than even the lancers. From 20 feet, if you are aiming directly at an opponent with a gnasher and they have a lancer the gnasher can and will win. That is ludicrous. The DBS has a SET range and long reload. You miss and you are dead if you can't run fast.
@c2fan22 no it doesnt take more skill at all, thats not even whats sucks about it. None of the other gears had this weapon and now you get cheap shot artists that run up shoot and run away, if the sawed off took more skill you wouldnt be using it

Sawed-off users should be glad they can get a kill with it to begin with. The gun has a shameful origin and it was created as a hand-holding device. If you still want to wear a bib that's your problem. It was designed to work only within melee range and that's what it now does. You may actually be forced to learn the game properly as your noob cannon is not coming back.
Stop hatin on the sawed off! If Epic put it in the game they obviously meant for us to use it! Just adapt if it pisses u off so much and instead of rushing a guy rolling with the sawed off use ur freaking lancer and stop your bitchin

the sawed off shotgun is only good if your not going to miss the shot because if you do, youre screwed so its better to have a gnasher shotgun its a one shot kill and its effective at longer distances also if you miss the shot you still have ammo and its better for multiple enemies at close range flanking if you know how to use it as in knowing how to strafe and wall bounce around enemies

@c2fan22 exactly.the DBS gives you 1 freaking shot to do damage or run like hell. The gnasher gives you more, can down/KILL you form short - and most ridiculously - LONG ranges. A gnasher is usually more lethal and reliable than even the lancers. From 20 feet, if you are aiming directly at an opponent with a gnasher and they have a lancer the gnasher can and will win. That is ludicrous. The DBS has a SET range and long reload. You miss and you are dead if you can't run fast.

Sawed-off users should be glad they can get a kill with it to begin with. The gun has a shameful origin and it was created as a hand-holding device. If you still want to wear a bib that's your problem. It was designed to work only within melee range and that's what it now does. You may actually be forced to learn the game properly as your noob cannon is not coming back.
