One of the few albums that's truly moved me in years. Boundaries are broken to encompass wider world audiences. People like Nazeri, Alizadeh, Ghamsari, and those visionary artists who are not afraid of breaking boundaries, will prevent Traditional Persian Music from becoming stagnant and eventually extinct. Having several string instruments follow the singer's melody (blindly) is simply not enough to express the troubles we endure as a nation today!
Further more this piece and the album from which it came were composed not as a tribute to a bunch of crusty old poets who couldn't hack traditional rules of dactylic pentameter.
How does "bi tapesh" which means "without a beat" translate into "Hoots of an owl rise not from the elm" ?
I mean come not only are the words elm and owl never used how does that sentence even come about.... TOTAL RUBBISH! better to not have it. than to have it and have people laugh at the poor guy thinking he's singing about total crap.
The translation is inaccurate, "The Book of Austerity" is "Ketabe Ghenaat" not "Karnameh Tangdasti". Austerity and poverty are two different words with two completley different meaning just as "Ghenaat" va "Tangdasti" ya "Faghr".
As the artist released the album under its English title, I think the translation to Persian should be accurate.
This album is one of the better works of Ostad Nazeri... I think he is just getting better as he grows older. oh how I miss home... thanks for putting this up.

Yes the poem is by Akhavan Sales except the last line which is by Shamloo. The name of the song is "Sorrow". I thinik t is from his book "Kaveh Ya Eskandar" I will put subtitle soon.

How does "khane khali bood o khan bi ab o nan" translate to "Bradless the napery, empty the cottage" ?
It literally translates to "the house abondoned, a home without bread or water" which simply translates to "the home was bare and desolate"
Fix it up douchebag
