If you're talking about Marty (I have no idea what you're referring to), you can take off your Mustaine-goggles and try to look at it reasonably: Megadeth is Mustaine's band and anyone who tried to change it was kicked. Menza wanted to make thrash instead of the direction they were going so Mustaine kicked him. Marty wanted to play METAL and Mustaine wouldn't listen. After Risk Mustaine turned around and said 'let's play metal' and Marty just had it by that point and left. It was Dave's fault.

Of course that's one thing that will forever be known, that Dave Mustaine is a made man and all the members of Megadeth are support for him. Dave can replace his guitarist with anyone and they will still kick as much ass as they always did. Dave is the heart and soul of thrash metal and he stands alone. Metallica wishes any member could survive on their own.

Yeah, Dave definetley had an better edge for soloing in those days. But when the 90's came and they had their makeover (thank god it didn't turn out as bad as Metallica's!) Dave was told to do less solos because he was primarily the singer and frontman and he should leave the solos to Marty. Also, he had that pinched nerve in his arm for a while, so he's still re-learning the guitar. Hopefully within the next few years he'll have the same capabilities he had in his younger days.

I REALLY wish that Mustaine wouldn't have switched primarily to pentatonics after "Peace Sells...But Who's Buying?".
