@Riizenx First let me state that i agree but what would a real mans war be? trenches of ww1? no i dont think so that would be unethical and pretty stupid not to mention would produce massive casualties on all sides. when I (speaking for myself) think of real mans war i think back to engagements somewhere along ww2 lines tanks vs tanks with infantry support. But also lets say a country like russia or some other superpower invaded your country wouldnt you resort to ied's? and hit and run tactics?

Someone's smoking something if they think americans are ever going to be outcasts. Iraq was a huge distraction that didn't accomplish anything but what we're doing in afghanistan...at least starting out was justified. I have friends going in march and I'll hopefully be off toward then end of the year before any draw down. No one is perfect. America isn't a saint but we're no satan either. Its horrible when innocents die but this isn't call of duty. shit happens that most ppl never see.

Luckily they had some holes and smalle hills to use as protection. If they have to patrol the same route many times then it wouldn't be bad if they work closely together with the engineerings team. If a place is to open then they can put some smalle hills or holes there just in case. We all know the taliban wont use them there shooting from much better positions much further. But for our troops it will be enough. "preplanning can save lives"
