It's an amino acid. It tends to promote concentration (and reduce stress). Most health food stores carry it and where I'm from, it's about $20 for 100 pills (I believe 200mg doses).
For my finals, I found taking a Red Rain (a weak energy drink w/ Taurine (another amino acid) and a pill or two of sun/L theanine, was greatly beneficial.
I'm still looking into the studies/truth behind it, but it IS a cheap and easy thing to try (and you can't really overdose on an amino acid). Good luck!
when i was a child i was on Ritalin and by the time i was in High school i was taking eight pills a day they make you very paranoid and not hungry i remember when i was in grade 9 i weighted 50 lb Ritalin isn't the solution diet is
@mrtelemere anyone who has adhd syptoms should seriously think about take l theanine as a treatment. and by the way since i ve sbeen taking this stuff i haven t had one cold or the flu. before i was sick alll the time due to a compromized immune system. i sleep like a baby now and thats half the battle.
@chipznikka Yes. If you have tried Ritalin or Adderall and didn't like the edgey sort of feeling that both of those meds can give you, then this can work. The only thing is that you may need to take a higher amount of it.
@MyJohnsonable thank you very much...i found it was a lil hard to find ill keep you up dated on the results would you give me an idea on the amount i should take
@chipznikka The amount varies for everyone, especially people like us whoa re trying to achieve a *specific* level of clearheadedness and focus. I would start with 20mg (which is usually 2 capsules) and then go from there.
I though that how could this be true and thought that there was nothing to this claim I have ADD and after trying it for a while I wont go a day with out it all of the claims are true
Natural products can also have very negative effects on one's health. Why wouldn't a professional like yourself wait until the proof of its efficacy has been established beyond a reasonable doubt?
Omega-3 was touted as the solution to just about every ailment, including adhd, but that was a bunch of crap, so on to the next miracle cure....L-Theanine. It's so sad that you give false hope to people who so desperately need help.
I wonder if this works with adult ADHD. Sometimes my mind goes so fast its hard to work or even talk to people.

This is what the Internet was made for. Not solely for gaming, watching celebrities or watching porn, but mostly for learning! An excellent video :)
