I've seen the korean version and the american version. I think they both are good, but the american version is more realistic then the korean one. However, the korean 1 is more sad. I felt more sad for the dude then the girl that lost her boyfriend.

@astroboy12181989 That's actually a misconception. Windstruck was released in 2004 and My Sassy Girl was released in 2001. They however shared the same director and leading actress, but Windstruck was never the prequel of the film. I love both though but I love Sassy Girl more

Everyone has their favorite version, whether it's English or Korean, just don't belittle the other film only because you don't like it or because it's "westernized". There's nothing wrong with the English version of this movie. The fact that Hollywood made a remake means it was a really good movie (which it is). Try to relax. It's only logical the English version would be different - different cultures, different tastes, different ideas, etc.
