the Peugeot 908 was a great car , and a great effort by Peugeot.

But...some silly development chief authorised the melting con rods for 2010.

I hate that Audi lot , always have but for the 2010 le Mans debacle Peugeot have only themselves to blame. Many corporations would have fired M. Quesnel and certainly the chief development engineer. I am surprised that they were not , to this day.

Audi came up with the GREAT idea of coming up with a DIESEL sports car and it rocked the auto racing world. Peugeot copied the idea, came up with a faster car, but forgot about the "24 hours" aspect of the 24 hours of Le Mans. Not trying to brag too much, but Audi is still untouchable (by a little, but still came out on top).

Im just waiting for a new LMP1 Porsche to make Audis life harder. The RS Spyder is very good and already able to beat them but it should be LMP1. :P

That is the best looking Le Mans car since the 70's. I actually think that Peugeot will win Le Mans this year. The reason they didn't win last year was because the power steering failed, so they had to go slower through the corners.

Audi races with an LMP Car in LeMans since the late 90s without a break, so they had a lot of time to develope their car. The R10 is not a completely new car, it uses very much technology developed through the R8-years. Peugeot just came with a absolutely new car and was closer than I ever expected, so I bet in a few years the WILL be able to beat Audi. However, Diesel engines destroy the real motorsport, no matter if they are more economic or not. I want to hear screaming high-end engines :).

The 06 Audi le mans wasnt as quick as the other cars it was about 2 seconds off the pace, the reliabilty is insane with them and being a diesel they're much more fuel efficient.

Then arrived Peugeot with 205 Turbo 16, and beated them clearly. Audi stopped Rally 1 year after, maybe disguted not being able to compete against the 205! ;)

No you will find that class of rally was banned because they went way to fast and to many people died.

You re right in 1 way but when group B was banned, Audi already left since 1 year. They prepared a return with a more powerfull one, as Peugeot did in the same time with the 205 but these 2 cars never took place in a race. In 1985 Audi won only 1 race with Rohrl(San Remo), the Peugeot 205 was dominating everything.
