  • nice mix!!! :D

  • For this christmas i got one dmj-2000 and only 2 cdj-2000. I hate my dad, I was asking

4 cdj-2000. What can i do with only 2. Sometime i play with it but i prefer playing

    monopoly.

  • @extramanhg lol

  • @thijsvanhasselt What type of mapping are u using? Can u sen me the .vst file please...I'm desperate ;(

  • hey ;) nice mix but what is the name of the track in 8:00??? can you send the link pls? thX :*

  • @houselovesme1 See description -> Sports Psycology - Psycology. And no, I won't send you a link cause I bought the track legally.

  • @thijsvanhasselt Anytime i play a track i know i haven't bought, i feel bad. Usually skip right past em. I agree with your above statement. hahaha

  • Nice mix

  • GREAT JOB. i was bouncing the whole time. i just began mixing and its nice to know that w practice eventually i can do that well. i love ur hand movement at like 5:30 min.i love ur swag and might i say ur CUTE lls. but that was NICE!!

  • @Eckoell5e Lol thanks for the kind words ;) Good luck with your DJing adventures!

  • /watch?v=R8z13qRGU5g

  • Should I just get this or get two cdj 2000s and DJM-2000 mixer? I'm leaning towards just 4D, what do you think?

  • @foxIIbassoonist I'd go for the Xone, really love the thing. But you should try out both options in a store and figure out what suits you best. I can't decide that for you.

  • @foxIIbassoonist the cdj's are nice, but onl;y if your willing to dish out tha cash. My ex dj'ing partner owned that complete setup. the djm2000 is only worth it if your into extremely detailed islations, and need a less cramped board. If your a more aggressive dj I'd say go for the djm 900, almost all the same effects that are widely used. same functionality. Just no touch screen, but after a year and a half, i found i never really used the touch screen at any shows or at home

  • I had to laugh at 00:11

  • @foxIIbassoonist Lol yeah, I tend to move my hands in a rather gay way when I'm playing haha ;)

  • Nice mix with 4d

  • WTF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Nice mix man :)

  • nice man!

  • Hey, can you please tell me the name of your case? Searching for weeks and i realy like yours so far i can see it :)

  • @ArneK185 Hi, it's the Zomo Xone:4D case. It's awesome, but keep in mind that the case weighs about 10kg. If you wanna be a little more portable, you could look at buying a (UDG) turntable trolley bag. It fits right in there :)

  • oh i forgot to mention that when you have to download the track for it to be 320k, when you sample the tracks on the songs page it will low quality, i think its so they can save room on there servers or something... but yea enjoy! that site is dope

  • @thijsvanhasselt nice mix, but i have a question.

can you control the chanels 1-4 with the connection of usb to the pc?

  • @faktone Yes you can :)

  • Comment removed

  • @thijsvanhasselt nice one :) thank you

  • Comment removed

  • Not bad... but we all know how easy tracktor and serato make djing... get some real records now, thats how you REALLY get pro

  • @Kawiracer300 Meh.. don't wanna argue about this again.

  • @thijsvanhasselt it just a tip, you can learn alot about mixing if you mix straight up record. Thats how I became hella good... i went from records, to cdjs, and now midi

  • @Kawiracer300 Ah ok, my bad. I thought you were just another guy just commenting on how 'fake' midi is etc. I have DJ'd with CD's and vinyl, and I love that too :) This just gives me more options. Any tips for me to become better? Cause I always want to improve of course ;)

  • @thijsvanhasselt cool, yea i have a tip for you, check out "Living electro.com" you might find that site useful, its one of my favorite sites when it come to electro house... all the music is free to download and most of it is 320k

  • @Kawiracer300 Thanks but no thanks. I buy all my music on sites like beatport, cause I think it's fare to do so. I'm making money with DJing, so why shouldn't the people who make the music I play?

  • @thijsvanhasselt Hey man just a question: I'm mixing with Pioneer CDJs but im thinking about selling everything and getting a 4D because its so powerful and practical. My questions are: Do you need the traktor scratch soundcard to plug it in? Also, how do the jogs feel when it comes to mixing and beatmatching on the Xone ? Thanks man !

  • @mikadpn Hi :) If you're gonna use the 4D with Traktor you don't need to buy any external soundcard, cause there's one built in to the 4D. In fact the soundcard in the 4D is much like the Audio 8 soundcard by Native Instruments. You can even use the soundcard in the 4D as a traktor scratch soundcard to use it in a timecode setup. You gotta remember that mixing with the Xone is completely different than mixing with CDJ's. You don't need to beatmatch, I only nudge the beatgrid with my left jog

  • @mikadpn I use my right jog to browse through my music library. The jogs are very responsive, but I wouldn't like to use them for beatmatching cause they have almost no resistance. You should check out some more articles about midi mixing on DJtechtools for example and watch some more movies about it before you decide to buy the Xone. It's an expensive piece of equipment after all, but I think it's awesome :) Good luck with it!

  • @thijsvanhasselt Wow thanks for answering so fast! :D

Its because for now I have CDJ 800 mk1, 1000 mk1, and a DJM 600 connected to Traktor via the Audio 6 card, and i love it, but i guess because i dont have much time and the xone allows me to REALLY use traktor, it seemed appealing, but if I can't really beatmatch with it :| ... I might have to add CDJ 400's or something ! In this video, how are you syncing and beatmatching then?

    Thanks a lot ! :D

  • @mikadpn No problemo buddy, at your service ;) Well my way of syncing is this: I push the sync button on both tracks I wanna play. When it's a new track I'm playing, I use the left jog to nudge the beatgrid of the selected deck cause the initial beatmatch is often a bit off. In this way I effectively beatmatch the two tracks and it's saved in traktor's memory so I won't have to beatmatch these tracks ever again, I just press 'sync'. Is this a clear explanation?

  • @thijsvanhasselt Yeah I get it, you used the auto-sync function! I'm not a fan of that yet, but i'll see what I do, maybe add CDJ 200's or some midi controller jog thats better for beatmatching, but yeah, the 4D looks really good, thanks a lot ! I'll tell you if i get it in the end!

  • @mikadpn Go for the Xone DB4 or wait to DB2, with dn-s3700 or 850 the 2000 have hardware issues enter to pioneer forums to see by yourself, happy mixes

  • 11 Justin Biever FanS ! LOL

  • awesome love the beat drop at 1.30 just wondering how long have you played and is this your first dj setup? if not what did you use before? cheers

  • @admooner Thanks for the kind words! I've been DJing for about 3 years now, so about 2 years when this video was made. I first owned a Behringer BCD3000, then a M-Audio Xponent, and now the Xone :)

  • Hey, I have also trouble with the 4d midi mapping -I can't force the jog-wheel the browse between the clips.(it sends only one midi not in each direction)

I dont want to use the mouse at all...

And if you are there, how can you launch the selected clip?

Thanks 4 your help in advance

  • @TripHoliday007 Maybe you got the setting for the jog-wheel wrong. Is it set to encoder with relative interaction mode? Good luck!

  • @TripHoliday007 MAX MSP!

  • Hey dude,

Cool mix, im just wondering could u send me the link for the mapping u used??

  • @MrStevent85 I'm sending you a link right now.

  • Hia man, what kinda tune is that ? Sound cool though. Anything else apart from Your mixer n apple got there or you're just starting up ?

  • @dajzeta Hi! The tracklist is stated in the description ;) I've got lots of other gear, but that's for producing or making radioshows. The gear I use in this video is the gear I use to DJ with :)

  • what kind of tsi file do you use ? i just got one of those bad boys today lol

  • @montyladd I sent you a PM with a download link to the mapping I use currently. Cheers!

  • @Jussii117 Thanks a lot! I've been DJing for about 3 years now.

  • lekker man

  • great mix into machine gun, well done

  • you dont use the features of this monster-maschine!!! I think you should mix with a Reloop Controller or something like that...Poor Xone4D

  • teach me your ways... your amazing haha :D

  • Can you adjust pitch-bend or scratch with the jog wheels. It's either the 4d or an s4 here pretty soon

  • Comment removed

  • yo' man... that was insane!

I wanna be like you! :D

"fuck" tiesto! even both of you have the same name! xD

I'm not even newbie (xD) @ this and I was wondering, which mixer do you recomend to start mixing? I was looking for gemini, they are ok?

btw.... KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK MAN...

    cheers from Colombia! (:

  • @julion004 you're not a newbie... but you're asking for advice on youtube?

The best thing to do is get the best decks/controllers you can afford, as mixers tend to get updated more often. To learn mixing, you just need one with good EQ's and with a good monitoring arrangement. I'd recommend Pioneer (get a DJM600). DJM600 mixers are pretty cheap these days but not so long ago they were industry standard. Also, all you'd need is an interface + controller and you'll have everything you need

  • @stuartz1985 It's much cheaper to buy an all-in-one controller like a Vestax VCI, M-Audio Xponent or even a Behringer BCD3000. With this equipment you can try out DJing for a very low price.

  • @stuartz1985 im not a newbie 'cuase I don't mix at all! xD

that was the reason I asked for advice on youtube...

well, im from colombia, and here to afford a $1.1k mixer, is hard... is pretty hard... I was wondering to buy an Xponent on amazon, but, they become expensive again... U_U

First, I want a mixer which I can plug into my laptop, for save the cdjs money xD

If you know something "affordable" I will be pleased...

but, thanks for the info! :D

    cheers

    btw... sorry my english! xD

  • Not bad... but its not really difficult to match the beat when you´re using traktor...

  • @JoyHoffi

ye but i think he can a beatmatch if not he is one of 102042947 djs that cant do it :D

  • Very nice mix man!!

  • put some of ur mixes on download mate, love to bang my head to thses mixes over here. love from hong kong

    Peace out Happy Mixing

  • @MiTXONE4D I'm not satisfied with my current mapping to be honest. I still haven't had time to make a new one. I'll send you the new mapping when it's finished ;) Remind me again in a while.

  • fuggin sick intro, nice song pick.

  • @swellz210 Thanks!

  • You getting the kontrol s4 man ?

  • @montyladd Nope, I'm keeping the Xone:4D ;)

  • Sick video mate awsome songs too

  • @Chrisstarck Thanks mate :)

  • not my type of musik and mixing style, but i have to say that i really enjoyed watching and listening.. you can feal the vibes and the flow and the fun you had.. thats much more important then all the technical details.. great job mate, keep on the good work, tc

  • @Smokemonsta Thanks for the kind words :)

  • how can you afford this shit

  • @yeanomayb Just save some money :) And work your ass off.

  • @thijsvanhasselt going to be hard being under the legal age to work and a weed smoker ha, i'll have two vestax controllers soon so it's all good love the mix by the way man

  • @thijsvanhasselt is ook maar 800 - 1400 euro zoeen 4d 2dehands ;)

  • @blackdaan 800? Dat is wel heel erg goedkoop. De goedkoopste die ik tot nu toe heb gezien is degene die ik nu heb, die was 1300 incl flightcase.

  • I don't like the style much but Finally!! a Youtube mix with someone actually capable of mixing :)

Just goes to show, the Netherlands is the best place on earth for DJ talent.

Je mix oor is echt lauw maat ga zo door.

  • @Cityj0hn Thanks man :D Leuk om te horen! Luister op dinsdagavond ook eens naar mijn radioshow 'SinuZ Sounds' op deepfm ;)

  • Sorry im a noob but is the xone 4d a midi controller for live mixing?

  • @swiftninja1337

    yes it is

  • EITHER WAY HES GOT IT AND ITRS ILL.CANT WAIT TO GET IT.DONT KNOW IF I WANT THE ITCH OR TRAKTOR.I WANT SERATO CUZ IM USED TO IT.BUT I WANT TO MIX 4 DECKS WITHOUT ALL THE GEAR.BEING A MOBILE DJ SUCKS.

  • @thijsvanhasselt oh nice... mix is sick btw :)

  • @mbayaguy Thanks mate!

  • @mbayaguy Haha I don't like it so much either :P But I'm not DJing live with this name, it's only my youtube DJ name if you will. I'm playing live under the name 'Sinuz' with a mate of me.

  • the xone4d is out of your league, mate.... thats why you are still in your parents bedroom ;)

  • I Like it :P Lekkere vibe :)

  • @spook187 Thanks! :)

  • so have i got this right there is no need for any one to make music as djs which stands for disc jockys to play anything new. its a sad time for the music maker. when djs get lost in there own stuff creativity ceases to excist we just rob people of there own ideas. i dont like that its not cool.

  • @darrenread193 I don't really understand what you're saying. You're saying DJ's are bad for the music industry? That's bullshit, because DJ's can promote songs and in that way, the music producer can sell more music. Besides that, DJ's buy a lot of music. And a lot of DJ's are producers themselves.

  • @thijsvanhasselt actually not many djs are producers themselves..... ;)

  • @tombizzurt In Holland they are.

  • @thijsvanhasselt whats Holland?

  • @tombizzurt It's a country, also known as The Netherlands...

  • Hahaah , you cant dance for shit!

  • @montyladd Do you think I care much about that? :P

  • @thijsvanhasselt

Aahah man , all djs have the problem :(! i jist find it hilarious when people dance makin the vidoes and there by themseleves !

Im the same to man , i stand and shake around like fuck and mi head and fett go 90 ahah ,

But i didnt say anything about ure mix man , its nice mixing ;)!

  • @montyladd dont comment if your going to be a dick!

  • @69audioprofit

    And you are ?

  • @dvm069 No from another DJ via a forum.

  • @thijsvanhasselt dont lie, yo momma bought that for you.... ps- when there is an allen and heath mixer with no turntables connected to it, or no record collection, there is something wrong... :D

  • @tombizzurt

because you are here to decide that.

  • @tombizzurt haha thats very wrong!, when they're is the xone 4d and JUST turntables and records thats very wrong, if somethings built with that sort of soundcard and all them midi controlls .. its clearly better to use it with your computer! and alot of DJs are producers hah!

  • @tombizzurt haha thats very wrong!.. when you have a 4D, and your just using turntables, then something is VERY wrong, something with that sort of sound card, bpm clock, midi controlls is clearly better for your computer ! and alot of DJs are producers mate! haha

  • @69audioprofit only the best of them are....

  • @tombizzurt I think there's something wrong with you when you think you should connect turntables to a MIDI CONTROLLER. And please keep your trolling for yourself.

  • @thijsvanhasselt and my point is how much can you know about mixing with owning a record? nothing. I never said connect turntables to a midi controller, and the 4D isnt just a controller.

  • @dvm069 About €1700, but I bought it second hand for €1300 including the case. The Xone costed €2000 new at the time I bought it.

  • @dvm069 Thanks!

  • Wow thats a very cool set, in which cities do you rock the clubs with stuff like this?

  • @TheStereoman2 Mainly in Utrecht. I'm organizing my own parties now :) Called 'Moeilijk', they take place in Utrecht also.

  • @thijsvanhasselt

thats cool I remember FLG is from utrecht aswell.

shit you dutch know how to rock the real beats!

  • @TheStereoman2 You should come to one of our parties ;) Germany isn't that far away.

  • It has been 6 months since you posted this video. Are you still enjoying your 4D? What I would like to know is whether you actually take it with you to the clubs? Wouldn't they give you crap about hooking this thing up? Or are you just using it at home and for certain occasions?

  • @dfusion2000 I still loooove the thing :D It's just so well-made and functional. I take it to clubs regularly, about 2/3 times a month. Had no problems whatsoever hooking it up to the existing club systems. There's already enough room to place the thing if you move one turntable or one CDJ1000 and a bit.

  • how the fuck you got all the money to buy that sweet bad toy?? :D you are just a boy... i am jealous

  • @burn5495 Just bread and water for me :P

  • how would you compare the xone 4d to the xone dx?

  • @Mawanyinnit I never used the DX, so I can't really compare them. The 4D has as major advantage that it's an analog mixer. The DX isn't. That's what made me buy the 4D.

  • you look a little like moot or jesse eisenberg

  • Intending to get the 4d setup with pair of dns 3700.So that way still able to play cds and midi, probably get the best of both worlds.Nice tracks, I'm into progressive, electro and fidget.Gd stuff.Any feedbacks bout the setup?

  • @yzy20101 Wow, that setup would rock! You should post a video when you bought all that stuff ;)

  • Like it! Would be nice to see what u do in traktor also.

  • @JochenBjork Maybe I can do a screen capture next time :)

  • awsome

  • Hey,I´m thinking about buying me a Xone 4d. Should I buy a Xone 4D or a Djm 800 from Pioneer ?What do you think?

  • @lidlgangster96 The Xone and the pioneer are totally different things. You should def buy a Xone if you want midi functions. The pioneer isn't a good midi controller.

  • how do you like the sennheisers?

  • @harrowlax28 I love them! Really great headphones.

  • gud stuff man!! keep it up. take it to next level!!!

  • @brainsword Thanks!

  • track list????

  • @ramongavilan63 Description!!!!!!!

  • I have the 4D and im in love with it. I have a couple of s5000's hooked up to it through timecode. I use the jogwheels to scrub through the tracks. And the MIDI helps while in the club for me!!

  • certainly some wicked beats !!!! xD

  • @Spoooonman Traktor Pro

  • check out my electro house mix as well, cheers!

  • nice work man. easy listening

  • Awesome mix, man, great job! A lot of luddites in here seem to be hating on digital mixing. To them: get over yourselves. Mixing shouldn't be about how hard you're making it for yourself so later on you can be purist to the point of rage on youtube like a badass. Aside from scratching, digital has the upperhand in every way. It's about the music, not looking cool. If you want to be eyecandy then try some showmanship. I've never seen a crowd dance less due to using midi instead of vinyl.

  • @pfx13ae Thanks for the kind words :) I totally agree with you!

  • God I want one! I'm looking into getting some portable computer decks like yours! Just can't afford these! Would you say a beginner could use something like this?

  • @Adz1184

i can tell you that this is pro toy :D paul van dyk use it

buy numark or sth like that for 200e this will cost you 1700e

  • @Adz1184 You could use it, but my advice would be to buy a cheap midi controller to try it on first ;)

  • yo what speakers do u rock?
