This was all over the news because in this part of the world ( eastern Canada) we usually get 1 or 2 noticable earthquakes that are small ( magnitude 2-3) but a magnitude 5 is very rare here. The strongest in the area was a 6.0 back in the 50's, so this was the second biggest quake in the area.
omg i was so scared haha i was sitting on a bunk bed i thought the cat was on the top bunk scratching and then i looked around the room and everything was shaking so i was like OMG and ran downstairs eeee.
I was i school doing math games with the class next door, and our game stuff fell over, then her water bottle began to shake then fell off her desk, and when we found out later that it was an earthquake we were all like, "what the hell!"
Everyone else has automatic common sense to fucking run get out of the building! You have no idea how long it will last for or how strong it will grow or how long the building will stay up for. You don’t, just don’t hang around inside.
we were inside my school and the teacher was teeling us to read abook and it was scilent all of a sudden we hear a sream and the school started to shake XD for some reason the principle rang the fire alarm for us to evacuate we wwere all confused
@mikeohoh7 "has canada ever had a terrorist attack?" Yes, my ignorant Yankee neighbour, we have. I would tell you about it, but I get the feeling that would be a futile attempt, because you would just spew more of your anti-Canadian rhetoric.
@mikeohoh7 I can't wait until the next 9/11 to happen to your country. Hopefully, it will be a nuclear bomb that will kill many more of you pathetic Yanks.
You i find it rlly funny how noone here knew it was an earthquake >.> the ones who thought it was an earthquake ran for the doors ... if uve never felt an earthquake (most of us, younger ones especially, thought it was impossible) wouldnt u run to the door? especially after all the hype form haiti? california makes no big deal because they get it all the time, canadians are smart for acting with NO preparedness plan between the citizens >.> they dont teach us in schools what to do incase.
I did not feel it. Only 2 people I know noticed anything at all. My co worker noticed a wall shaking apparently, and my friend heard a rattling. Otherwise, barely anyone knew there was an earthquake till I mentioned it, I heard about it on the news...
this just goes to show you how boring Toronto really is. a small earthquake that lasts less than ONE minute has every news station buzzing. I wonder what Haiti must think of us.
I am in Ithaca , New York and I didn't feel a thing either but yet everyone was talking about it... at 5.5 you would think more people would have felt it.
i live in Mississauga and i felt it in my room when my brother didn't feel it in the basement...i was trying to figure out what was going on and i went to check under my brothers bed to see if anyone was under his bed then my mom called telling me it was an earth quake
oh my fucking gawd!!!!!!! WE LIVE ON A FAULT LINE!?!?!?! i live in the niagara region and we felt it prety good... its freaking scary as hell that theres a fault line running right thru toronto tho... i ddnt know that, somehow thats one of the few things they conveniently forget to teach us in school >.< one of the only things that will actually matter for our well being..
@mikeohoh7 WTF you talking about you filthey ass american stop watching our videos if your going to comment negative on Canada we are better than U.S.A
@thiscantbetaken12321 If you were sitting you would be like "OH SH*T WHATS THAT?" first you would think it was a lound sound or sumthign but then you would be like REALLY scared even though it was like 30 secs, hope that explains how it felt
ok now i am better to know that this will hapen after ten years from now , but i ll have to ask my neibourg children to stop runing on the second floor otherwise i ll find my self in the street with my pijama everytime they do that .
down where i live the street 3 blocks down me start to rise and make a super speed bump and after it whent back.

Toronto wussies don't know what an earthquake and true natural disaster is. Look at Haiti. When your whole physical world crumbles, then you'll know.
BOULDERDP 1 year ago
@BOULDERDP how would they know? Canada hasnt experienced earthquakes before(not that i know of). So of course they'd make a big fuss of it.
