Make no mistake, though. That right arm / elbow gets back out in front of the right hip into the downswing (or, in Tiger's case, it doesn't, and he hits it a mile off line left or right). The right elbow leads the right forearm, shaft and club head. that puts the club on plane. In my opinion, the arm / elbow behind the body is a result of excellent shoulder turn to the top. dont' just try to get your elbow behind you (unless that thought results in sholder turn like Hogan). hit em straight
I could not agree with this video more, I was watching Tiger Woods at Torrey Pines warming up and the thing that stuck out to me was how much behind him his swing was. What I mean is his arms were way behind his back (obviously the back turns, but they were way back there. It was incredible and really showed the difference between the pros and amatuers.

some stack and tilt characteristics in all of these swings. SHOULDER DOWN AND HANDS AROUND, and the right leg straightens on the backstroke
