  • I want to play a 4 bit Kim Petras game

  • You should do Frankie Goes to Hollywood for the C64. That game's as weird as they come.

  • The secret to the menu is here en(DOT)wikipedia(DOT)org/wiki/Space_Taxi

  • okay, i didn't much like the pictures pasted all over the loading screen names but the ending totally makes up for that. :)

  • so this is the inpiration for Work Time Fun's Pollinator

    COOL!!

  • Space Taxi was one of the best games for the c64

  • I laughed so hard through this!! Do u also remember that Burger time game?? or something like that?? Cheers for the memories mate!

  • What?? They actually had the nerve to put a Nazi in the game?? Wow...I'm sure that offended someone.

  • @Firefoxer4Vista What!? What does that have to do with anything!?

  • Your videos are so entertaining!

One thing that bothers me, though, is that the Nazi swastika goes the other way. The one in the video is the buddhist sign.

Anyway, please never stop making these reviews. They're damn funny =D

  • 35 taxis are not in space

  • @mlopinto2k1 Gee. Thanks.

  • @mlopinto2k1 What the hell. Why do people assume just because I'm reviewing a game on the Internet that I'm ragging on it? I said that Space Taxi was fun and lovable. It's a great game. It's also weird. Why is that so hard for people to grasp?

  • @WeirdVideoGames Think your negatives outweigh your positives. Honestly, you did a good review albeit a bit too openly biased. Just my opinion.

  • @WeirdVideoGames

People tend to hear what they want ;)

I loved this little flashback of yours to the past, I grew up with the C64 with 100's of game ( turbo-cartdridge with at least 50 games pr. casette, I was a young little pirate ).

Nostalgia trip ftw. I btw only discovered you today and browsed through 1/3 of your "Weird"-series, like it so far.

And yeah, Space Taxi was weird, yet a classic.

  • @mlopinto2k1 I heard differently.. I think his narration was very funny. Lighten up sunshine!!

  • Don't forget, "THE ADVENTURES OF BAYOU BILLY!"

  • So, umm, did you ever figure out how to access that Secret Menu?

  • @AllHailKingKurt You simply have to press the highlighted stuff on the Main screen: Press down on the joystick to access the introduction menu. First, press the π key repeatedly until the word "fire" changes its color. Then press the ↑-Key until it's black again and then the *-Key.

  • Crazy game but looks very good!

  • No way i'm going up too!

  • i played this back then on my friends c64! we used to repeat the "hey taxi" a lot.

  • This game looks fun even if it is weird.

  • weird? not weird, cult classic nostalgia! most today games are weird, cos they try to look realistic instead of looking like a video game has to look like - like a videogame! ;)

  • @shairaptor Heh, I'm not sure I buy that being realistic makes a game weirder. Also, I stand by my assertion that a flying rocket taxi cab landing on a beanstalk that grows landing pads is kind of weird.

  • @WeirdVideoGames heh you know, games were like that back then. It's called fantasy, creativity and imagination. Hasn't got anything to do with being weird. I enjoy 8 and 16bit games much more than todays games that are realistic, uncreative and boring. :)

  • Im going up o3o!

  • the game taxi driver came out the same year this did...even has the crazy hop that crazy taxi stole off of it....

  • Hey! I've got a request for you! I discovered this game at some Game Expo in my town, and I got to say it was pretty weird. And when I looked up videos on youtube, it was freaky weird!

Anyways, what I'm trying to say is: Will you please review Vib Ribbon for the Playstation One?

You might need to get it on a emulator, because while it was released in Europe, I'm not sure if they made copies of it in America.

  • This doesn't seem so weird.

  • It's weird, but it looks fun!

  • i loved this game back when it was new on my friends c64!!! i remember being blown away by the voice. i also remember thinkin my apple IIe wasn't as cool anymore.

  • Who ever made this game was partially insane.

  • @FinalStarmanDX I don't know about the programmer, but the guy who did the sound and music was nuts. In a good way. He passed away in 2004 and I only found out about him in researching this game. The guy sounds amazing. Look up Silas S. Warner on mobygames. The stories about him will astound you.

  • @WeirdVideoGames I read up on him. He certainly was on the peculiar side, and I respect that. Too bad he had to pass away. A lot of good game developers (Gunpei Yokoi) amongst other people tend to die early whether the cause is natural or not.

  • @FinalStarmanDX "Who ever made this game was partially insane." Might be. But I'm sure about one thing: You will get insane if you play it all the time. Poor nerves...

  • awww, you're so cute.

  • keep these reviews comin! lol

  • Great video once again.

  • awesome haha

  • I bet there are alot of weird games for the pc that haven't graced youtube.Cool video.Btw-you look like Fox Mulder from the X-Files.

  • LoL...got to hand it to the developers , too creative and zany of a game for it to be not Japanese. Looks like a lot of fun...I probably could spend days playing this back in 84(especially when the NES didn't exist yet). And the giant Hitler at the end is an awesome payoff for getting through the game!!!!wahaha

  • Man, this was a pleasant surprise. I just love watching these! Another great episode. :D

  • do more videos a week

  • Hilarious

  • I have a Commodore 64 still but don't have this game. Can you send me a copy? Pleeeeease :)

  • I've never heard of this game before, but gonna have to look out for it now.

    Great video :)

  • i actually like this game

  • This was pretty damn excellent for an early C64 game

  • sounds like a fun game actually.... is it? for its time i mean.

  • @PullusPardus I grew up with a Commodore 64. It was and still is a pretty fun game. Controls are good and the physics are pretty cleverly done. It wasn't until adulthood when I came back to this game that I discovered the Hitler level.

  • @PullusPardus

It is one of THE best C64 games, along with Pirates, the LucasArts games (like Maniac Mansion), Impossible Mission, Giana Sisters ... and the list goes on and on and on... :P

  • @Highretrogamelord89

I meant Lucasfilm, not LucasArts, sorry.

  • hmmph! no first comment today ol'chaps

  • @Krane157 Thanks for that.
