  • Nice demo. Appreciate it.

  • Playing doesn't start until 1:30, less talk more rock next time!

  • Fender amps always sound amazing dimed, normally with fender amps u roll of the bass when it is cranked, but fender cleans are the best in the world and all the others are just their for lessons off the masters

  • First a saw that beautifull Amp and than your showed that god damn HSH strat...DAMN this thing has to be played with a 60s SSS!

  • HSH isn't a real strat! Love this amp though

  • Oh hey, that's one of my favorite amps. Looking to get a silverface though.

  • My friend has a fender reverb amp like this except the plate with all the controls on it is silver with blue writing, and it doesn't have the brightness switches by the input jack. it was his grand fathers and we are just trying to find out the year just for our won sake. do you have any knowledge of what year it may be?

    thanks for the help

    ~Brodie

  • @BtoZproductions it's a silverface, so it's from past 68 i think. look up the serial number on fender.com

  • a nice amp+a nice axe+a nice guitarist=a nice video :D

  • I also use an original 1965 Super Reverb that my Father had since new and his 1954 Strat that he also bought new in Milwaukie. The amp is heavy, but it is the best amp I havr ever used... Although I sold it years ago, my 1962 Gibson ES 335 (like yours but sunburst) sounded great with this amp.

  • That Strat is the bomb man, how much did that set U back ? are U in the USA or the UK like me ? I own a silverface bassman 100, which sounds very sparkle and chimey, the vintage amps by fender all sound good man, I am on the look out for a silverface vibroluxe reverb, or maybe blackface bandmaster

  • Sorry for all that, some people are beyond slow and deserve NOT the first key on they're keyboard........

  • I have a quick question. I just bought an original 74 Silverface SR. I have to restore it to its glory a bit. But I was wondering if you could advise me as to why so many people think the Blackface circuit sounds way better than the Silverface? Is it because of the whole CBS buying out Fender back in 69? And is it worth changing silverface circuit back to blackface?

  • @DarielAlmeida Its really all a bunch of crap really, and the reason I can say that and feel I am being honest is because even the things that changed after CBS bought them out are cheap parts anyway to change and are probably bad nowadays anyway and as you said they can so easily be modded back to blackface specs. For a while they were a little secret, handwired point to point, american made and INEXPENSIVE. Read an article lately and the cats out the bag now with prices rising.

  • @willeng84 You mean in the 60's they were inexpensive?

A good strat back in the 60s was like $289 or so and with our price inflation that was about $2,000+ which is around USA standard/Custom Shop and verging on masterbuilt. I assume the amps were the same, around 4,000 nowadays. It's all due to inflation, people didn't make 60k a year back then, maybe 30k was middleclass and pop could send 3 kids to college on that salary.

  • @milodaman2 Are you smoking crack????? Your not a guitarist are you??? I was referring to silver face fender vs black face in price and value. He was asking the difference and I answered him........Money....haha I just bought a Custom Handwired Fullstack and a real Gibson 61' SG....FOR MY DAD! My collection is something that one day will rival Billy Gibbons....See thats what its like when someone miss reads your post. I honestly think your dumb, I read it 6 times. Where did that come from?

  • @willeng84 You're a pretty big dick for replying like that, all I did was read it wrong and you attacked me. I read your post where you said "little secret, handwired point to point, inexpensive" and thought you were talking about how the price changed from the 60s to now for blackfaces.

Where did fender was a fender and marshall was a marshall come from? I was on prices - not tone. You might be the one who has no idea what I was talking about.

  • @milodaman2 I am the biggest dick you ever met.

  • @milodaman2 Honestly, you come at me giving me a speal about Fender amps....I was the one answering a question about fenders and differences, how you read that as I meant they were cheap BACK THEN.......thats off.....Then you go on to give a speach about inflation as if I am stupid, did I need to read that....NO....waste of my life.....Do I care about your thoughts...FUCK NO......Do I care about your shitty tone....NO.......Go practice and give no more speaches....bitch.

  • @milodaman2 To put it so even a retarded child could understand...(you).....A blackface bassman NOWADAYS is 2,000-4,000 for a REAL ONE. A silverface runs about........500$. See the difference isn't the silverface CHEAP in comparison to the blackface espeacially considering how I answered his post. You have alot to learn about amps and tone if you thought a Fender was a Fender and a Marshall was a Marshall. Must be good Crack or meth your smoking though....Your dad probably made it.

  • @willeng84 "Man... that's a terrible thing to say Dude! You called his Father a "Base-Cook"??? That's just about the WORST thing I have EVER heard on You-Tube. The only person who sound's like he is on dope is YOU, for saying such a tragic thing as that...WOW! You sure an an ASSHOLE"!!!

  • @axeslinger013 Probably true. I don't care nor do I ever plan on it. I am the nicest guy in the world to meet. If you were at bi-lo in front of me or pumping gas and couldn't pay for it and needed a few buck I would give it to you, done it pretty much every time its ever happened. I just don't deal well with ignorance. Thats it, everyone has a brain, at some point turn it on and use your eyes to pass information to that brain. The guy thanked me that asked the original question.

  • @axeslinger013 and if thats the worst you have heard said on youtube thats pretty weak. I have probably said worse, I know I have seen faaar worse, I saw once someone posted someones adress and info on a video of questionable legality and they were arrested and prosecuted.....thats as bad as it gets. I just talked imaginary shit.

  • @DarielAlmeida Also certain models stayed pretty much exactly the same, I believe the Super Reverb stayed pretty much untouched, whereas the bassman underwent many changes.

  • @willeng84 Thank you! Really helped a lot!

  • are the CTS speakers alnicos or ceramics?

  • beautiful...warm on the pick up neck-incredible I listen the tubes on the pc, beautiful

  • !!!MAN i LOVE me a good supr reverb your playing and gear is sounding great MrVintagemusic ...really enjoy all your vids

  • Very nice.

  • Hot dog

  • AWSOME!

  • You can tell it's vintage because the baffle is all warped making the grill stick out under the chassis. I wish my '69 Deluxe was in this condition.

  • i would buy a guard dog for that baby. oh, what a beauty.

  • whoa that's awesome. Probably paid alot for that

  • sweeeeeeeet!

  • Hardly gets any better than this
