What was the wind speed? Do you windsurf /kite? Seems like a good idea, total depower, compact and easy on body, but it IS reassuring to know you can always bob back home on windsurfing gear if the wind dies.
The wind speed was about 18 knots, with gust up to 25. I do kiteboard (land and water) but never windsurfed in my life. You also can "bob back" with your kitewing board.. ;-)
The biggest nonsense I have ever seen. The rider has no speed while the wind is blowing like crazy. How long can you do this without your arms falling off? Two minutes?
Ehehehe.Nonsense, eh?-Right! That should be why SO MANY windsurfers are willing to try a KITEWING 8-) Well, regarding my arms: you know, Kitewingers are strong people! But when tired, we can always hook the wing on the harness via an harness-line similiar to the ones used on windsurf. By the way, where are your videos? :-P
Yes, I'm a beginner; And I always will, as I'm always learning ;-) ... (as the name of the video indicates, this was my 3rd time on the water with this equipment...) I would prefer learning on a flat-water spot, if I had it available.. ;-P -As not, waves are fine to get along with it.. Cheers
Cool compromiss tool for those pathetic kiters telling "i`ll never go windsurf", and vice-versa. (:

it seems like the rider is a beginner, he should try to learn to ride this thing before getting into the waves

Cool stuff! How hard is it on your arms? Can you take the pressure off by hooking into the harness, as with a kite -- or are you holding on tight?

Hi. The kitewing isn't THAT hard on the arms.. And you can hook or unhook to an harness like a kite, yes. ;-)

Once you're planing it all stabilises, like being on a Dirtsurfer, yet to have a good session - we should have some video soon.

it's hard getting out through the breakers, but you made the best of it using them as jump ramps.
