I dont know if those are native to texas but one time I found one at a waterpark in Houston and took it home. It was atleast as big as yours and almost shredded the Styrofoam cup I had it in before I got it home. I didnt know they could fly at the time and set it loose in my back yard just incase they were an endangered species in my area. It walked around for a second or two and then flew off. It was like a UH Pave Lo taking off! LOL!!! Very cool! Was it expensive?

@edtomorrow They were not very expensive at all. They are almost like the goldfish of japan if you think about it. A fun pet that you can win at carnivals and buy at the store for cheap. The set of two (a male and a female) cost about $15.00American. They do have more expensive and endangered ones at other pet stores, however, that can cost you up to $500.00 American.
