It's funny how modern day religions took their ideas/stories from documents of ancient civilizations. Civilizations such as the Sumeriens who originated the Adam/Eve story and the Noah's Arc is just a couple. And the ironic thing about all of this? Nearly all ancient civilizations believed their gods came from the sky/space. Describing them in what we would describe an extraterrestrial in a space ship. Oh the irony.

At last check, jesus and god said that you can get into heaven by following the be attitudes and the golden rule. Not once in the bible does it ever talk about not believing in jesus will put u in the lake of unless it has something to do with repent for sins.
If I live my whole life believing in that Jesus is the real deal. That He is the way the truth and the life. That trying to live by what the bible teaches and it's not real than what have I really lost? Nothing! I haven't really done anything that would hurt me or anyone else.

It's funny how modern day religions took their ideas/stories from documents of ancient civilizations. Civilizations such as the Sumeriens who originated the Adam/Eve story and the Noah's Arc is just a couple. And the ironic thing about all of this? Nearly all ancient civilizations believed their gods came from the sky/space. Describing them in what we would describe an extraterrestrial in a space ship. Oh the irony.

They also want to feel good that if they do everything that's expected of them they'll go to heaven. People are scared , their scared of not knowing what's to come in the afterlife.
