..and you know what Barbra? That "Funny Boy" that was I the first time I heard this? He's visited all those "when-in-Rome" sorts of places time and time again now. You transformed an insecure, sensitive, boy into a happy, confident, worldly man. As you say; "è molto difficile resistere gli umomini d'italia, per essempio, per essempio i biondi, i biondi di Firenze, di Venezia e i bruni di Palermo di Milano ... ya know what I mean?" You bet I do!! And thanks. ;-) with love, RBH
I love this song, Babs sounds like she's havng so much fun!
Can any Italian speakers tell me what the bit in the middle means in English? (I assume it's Italian, but i'm not sure (and i don't mean the few words of French)).
@inapix Lol! It means "It's VERY difficult to resist Italian men! For example, the blondes.. the blondes in Florence... in Venice! And the brunettes in Palermo... in Milan... You know what I mean?" She's brilliant
@ivelosthewilltolive She's fairly fluent in both French and Italian. And remember she was twenty-two when she sang this. Her Italian accent is pretty damned close here except for the rolling of her "r"s. Infatto, mi sembra è MOLTO difficile per la Streisand in questo tempo - se giovane. Dico BRAVA BRAVISSIMA (come sempre)!

Great Barbra, you must listen the version of this song with a greatest spanish singer ROCIO DURCAL.

One of her best vocals. Written by the great Cy Coleman and lyrics by Carolyn Leigh. Thanks for posting!
