  • Name of song - Flamman & Abraxas-Good To Go

  • tangbands are one of the best speakers !!

  • i have 2 of these. havent used anything for them yet

  • is that JUST the full range? That's just ridiculous if there is no low end backup with that.

  • this song can be found under the name "dj cailibra - good to go" on youtube...cant find it with dj Maurice, dont know, maybe he is the same ;D

  • Dj Maurice vs. flamman & Abraxas Feat MC Remsy - Good To Go 2005

  • @woyer86 thanks! was searching for this song so lang :D finally someone knows the name! :) thanks :D

  • z-5500 sat

  • @EASTYJAZ34

Thats not Logitech. Its a Cyburgs Needle.

    Logitech uses the tangband Speakers.

    sk

  • wooow very good for 3"

  • Whats the first song?

  • whaha op het eind: `als ik die flesjes is bed hou!` watskeburt - jeugd van tegenwoordig!

  • Xmax on this Driver is only 0,5 mm or 0,02" , be careful not to overpower it.

  • whats the song?

  • Is it a cyburg needle box or a stick?? are you running a subwoofer with this or is it all done by the small tangband?

  • It is the cyburg needle. There is no subwoofer, only the tangband speakers on a 2x40W amplifier.

  • I´m going to build some sticks in the next weeks... cant wait to here ´em , could you post a vid of the whole needle? would be cool to see!

  • whats the first song

  • no its not

    LOL

  • Actually that's the same speaker. Logitech uses Tangband elements in their Z line.

  • no it's not logitech uses china crap

they look the same but dont sound the same

  • @cybernaab

Ever opened Logitech Z-5500? I doubt it too but many people say it's TB W3-871s on the satellites. That's why that set is so expensive.

  • well yes i did and i also opend up the sats from the z2300

    they both say china

the only tb brand in the z line is the sub

  • @cybernaab

Ok righty. Tangband are made in china.. anyway. Maybe they're not tangbands.

  • i know that :P almost everything is made there

but they make good thing to i meant to say that this is not a real tb but a fake knock off and almost every fake knock of is also made in china

i belive real tb sounds alot better

  • @cybernaab

Heh, ye. Dunno if they're real or not. It's hard to know from anything these days.

  • yes indeed

  • Logitech is using 12w Tangband drivers.

All the logitech speakers sounds like crap because of the low quality amp and the crossover who is cutting the mids, and also logitech speakers are using crappy plastic boxes.

All the drivers in the Z series are tangband, but logitech have put its own serial numbers behind.

The only logitech speakers that saying "Tangband" on the magnet, are only SOME of the old Z series, for example the z-680.

Btw the z-5500 is using the W3-593SF driver, not this one.

  • the frequenz graph (sry, my english sucks^^" ) and the datasheet is already the same, i guess the W3-593SF is just a renamed W3-871 ......

but: who one REALLY knows? we should ask at tangbands faktorys xD

  • Actually are *almost* the same on the eye...

The 593 stands better to the full range frequency response (well not in the z-5500),and it has different specs like X-Max,Vas,etc,that means it's about the same driver but it won't feat in a cabinet made for the 871.

Both the drivers are pretty anomalous and *cheap*,but the 871 is crap, because for example you losing almost completely the frequency below 1.5khz,and you hear a BIG jump on 130hz.

  • its the crossover in the needles who cut a bit of the frequenz about 1,5-2Khz...... i've never heard them, but everyone i know say these tangbands 871 are just perfekt for needles....... my needles have "just" the cheaper Visaton FRS 8 - 8Ohm, but they can handle MUCH more power (30W RMS!!! )

BTW: Do anyone know which song is used here in the video? ;o

  • z5500 sattelitte?

  • NO - It's a Tangband W3-871s

As it says in the title!

  • Zajefajny i on jest średniotonowy

  • the TB has 1 mm linear excursion ;) .....

  • what's the name song ??

  • cool speakers very good sound 5 for you

    please song name

  • ive noticed that all tang bands have HUGE excursion. Like in the logitechs, those things pump. And from some of the tang band subwoofers I have. Even the tweeters hit the huge excursion. :P

  • tweeter can't really do excursion. It's the midrange then if you're referring to logitech sets which use tangband elements.

  • XD

I was being sarcastic, as in, I didnt mean it to be serious. I know tweeters cannot do much excursion. The suspension for one is very limited, becuase lots of excursion means deep spl, which means bass, and we do not want bass coming out of the tweeter. XD Also, the voice coil is too short, and if it did high excursion, the voice coil would basically pop out of the driver, and could offset. XD

Its ok though, that you didnt know I was being sarcastic. Nobody is perfect! ;D

  • all drivers make some sort of excursion , but ye i see waht your saying, u cant really see it no

  • Tanbands are awesome. What´s the song?

  • @Maikeonmies Good to go /watch?v=XePglD0_ELQ&feature=related

  • what kind of box have you got it in?

  • The unit is the Tangband W3-871s. It's a 3 Inch fullrange speaker that can handle around 15W RMS.

  • I asked what kind of BOX it is in.

  • and it can handle up to 69 watts RMS providing its clean power.

  • wow i was such a noob back then. ignore that comment!

  • Ah sorry. It is in a transmission line box. The design is called "Cyburgs Needle" You can find the plans on the internet.

  • ah cheers :) they are the really tall ones right? in that case he is only showing the very top part of the box in the video...

  • Yes, they are almost 1 meter high. The video indeed only shows the top part...

  • whats the best kind of box?

    it's transmission isnt it?

  • it's small :D
