Mine is a lever and a pulser hooked up to one line leading to the pistons and making them get destroyed falling in a water current that stops at a sign allowing items to drop but not water.

umm should't you use only 1 piston? the second piston is not needed. If you hit the sugar grass in the middel the one above will automatically crushed to :D

2:its not very complected the only hard part is putting down repeaters.

You don't need the top row of pistons you only need one row at the lowest point that you want to cut the sugar cane

@starshock01 yeah you do have a point i just dont put that much work into making a farm i usually just make a regular farm and slowly make it bigger. This would take work but proably save time in the long run. Also once i think about it book shelves are a bitch to make and i never made them because they had no purpose, but now that theres enchantment tables its is useful. Idk if you knew this but the more book shelves you have around enchantment tables the better enchantments

@TheWiiJunkie196 Reed farming is an interesting science, more interesting than any other farming science, because you grow blocks, stacking blocks. With blocks it lets you use many different things on it such as automatically farming it, which is why Miners continuously look into reed farming.

The top row of pistons makes the farm more efficient. If you just had the lower row, the sugar cane from the top would get stuck on the bottom piston and then fall on the dirt rather than into the water.

Just so you know, you only need the lower piston, by breaking the middle sugarcane section both the middle and the top are broken. This means there is no need for the 2nd piston layer on top.

so.. lets say, u have 1 piston row, let it do the middle row of sugar canes, the top row of sugar canes will fall on the bottom row, because it doesn't get pushed, it will just fall straight down
