@TheFashionBond The "audience" is direct family only. The process is painful, but not degrading. There are no males in the room besides me, her husband. The others are mother, sister, and daughters. We respectfully disagree.
I usually cringe when I see kids watching their mother give birth. A 4 or 5 year old is not going to learn anything at that age. They only get upset and start to cry when they see and hear their mother in so much pain. However, I think the audience you had was the perfect age. They were old and mature enough to know what was happening, and I'm sure it's an experience they're so thankful for and will forever cherish.
Great job mom. Thanks so much for sharing this. Congratulations.
@shoegal330000 Yeah... we considered it carefully *and* asked them after giving them the warnings. We felt it was the right thing to do for our kids and - looking back - we still feel that way as do they.
@shoegal330000 i dont know i was scared when i saw a women scream on a tv show when i was little and then when i was in high school i actually saw the hole real thing as soon as i had time to myself i preyed to God that i would never get pregnant. im trying to get over it by watching the mothers reaction when its all over and try to tell my self its suppose to be worth it but i still dont get it and sometimes, honestly, i hope i die before i ever get pregnant
@shoegal330000 I suppose it really depends on the child. My daughter was at the hospital with me when her little brother was born. She wasnt quite 6. She heard me screaming once in awhile. And SHE calmed my MOTHER down. She unfortunately walked behind the curtain when the afterbirth was coming out, and calmly asked the doctor "what it was" their response was "Thats what feeds the baby" She was like , oh, cool. And walked back out. She handled it better than her grandmother lmao.
I wouldn't want all those people crowding me! I kept our son's birth to my husband and I. The fam stayed in the waiting room. I found that it gave us a chance to bond and we even made out a lot! We plan to do the same for our daughter who will be born around July!
how beautiful! i think its amazing how your daughters saw their brother come into the world. what an amazing event to share together and what a bond they will have.
I think it is a great idea... I have a daughter, she's only 5 months now, but I wish I could do the same thing you did if I have another baby when she's old enough. God bless!
I am a OBGYN nurse and when I had my son my 5 year old daughter was there. She asked to be there. My husband let her help him cut the cord and that was 6 years ago. From age 5 she has wanted to be a OB doctor. That is all she talks about when asked what do you want to be when you go up. She has read most of my medical books and has her college picked out. Is she too young? Maybe but I think everyone needs to look at how mature their child is then go from there. I feel we made the right decision
1Corinthians6:9-10"Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God?Do not be deceived:Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders, nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God."In Biblical language inheriting the kingdom of God means that they will never enter heaven. Why if Christians believe that the Bible is the Word of god, dont they follow what it says?
Thanks. As their father, I can assure you that they were indeed not too young for this and that it served many purposes in their education and training.
If you have children, I'm guessing probably feel you know what's too young and not too young for your children. No difference here.
God designed everyone for a purpose - a unique piece in a global orchestra designed to bring Him glory and honor
If all or even mostly men were better, he'd make it so. Funny how the world average is literally 50%/50%. Seems like God disagrees with you, stutterfly21.
Well you know not everything in the Bible is true but even though it came from almighty God that was true and then Humans then took the bible and changed it to thier own perspective. God made both Men and Women together equal and this is true. As myself i am a muslim and is you ever have read the Quran God refers as We not He.
Actually, I know that everything in the Bible is true. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness according to 2 Timothy 3:16. The power of the Bible has been proven personally to me and over history to many through signs and wonders.
I do not believe in a god who sent his word but was powerless to defend it against misuse/destruction by man. My God is big enough to protect His word!
My father was raised as a Muslim in Iran (where he and I were born). However, he came to realize the false truth offered by the Quron and now has a personal relationship with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
With all due respect, I'm not interested in what the Quron calls its god and more than I am what Homer calls the Greek gods in the Odyssey.
This probably isn't my place to comment, but all this god talk is making me sick.
You don't know that it exists, yes, it. I'm not saying it does, not saying it doesn't. But really, we do not know anything. If you think about it. Do not flame me, do not try to convert me. I'm stating something, that god is neither he nor she (if it exists) and we have no real proof of anything. We know no one who was there, obviously, so the bible is just stories. Do not yell, I'm just telling my side of it all.
No yelling, but you are sorely mistaken. We have plenty of evidence and the proof for me has been my personal relationship with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
God refers to Himself in the masculine form, so I won't correct Him.
To say "we do not know anything" is to say we have no information - yet this is not correct. We have documented prophecies in Isaiah. History and science confirm their accuracy despite being 400 years before Christ - just 1 example. You need to study more.
hey my son is also born on 1st may but in 2007. i had forgotten all the pain but seeing this reminded me of it again. but its all ok once you see your baby. congratulations on ur new baby.
What is this, a party? This is a woman in pain, going through a painful, degrading process. An audience is disrespectful.

If the bible's so true, why aren't we all gettin' rocks and stoning the gays? That's what the Bible says!

That was the Old Testament under Jewish law. We are not under the law but under grace. See John 1:17 and Romans 6:14

ok well thats just my opinion. Then how come people like you call God a He. do we know if Gods a He?
stutterfly21 2 years ago
Because He says He is a "He". He calls Himself "God the Father".
We don't know whether or not there's anything uniquely "male" about Him, but we continue to use the same transliterated pronoun He used in the Bible.
