  • Your logic is flawed. You think Jesus Christ was lying when he described Daniel's abomination of desolation as a FUTURE event? Shame on you.

You can use your same logic to pretend the Bible quotes pagan mythology or the Egyptian book of the dead (false claims repeated in the "Zeitgeist" movie).

Apocryphal writings were influenced by the OT and Jewish traditions - they contain some good to fool the unwary: but they are NOT scripture and contain heresies (which is why Catholics need them).

  • @MQ1611 Actually what I said is correct. I did not say anything about future events, nor did I deny such a thing, but in context - those who do not know history are doomed to repeat it. The zeitgeist movie attempted to connect all sorts of things that were completely unrelated. This, on the other hand, is not unconnected. It's two passages that are so similar on so many things, and on the same exact topic (the abomination of desotion) that only someone in denial would ignore it.

  • @BeingBob

I don't think you get it.

In 33 AD Jesus Christ was asked about the END OF THE WORLD and said, "When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet," Matt 24:3,15.

Did the world end in 168 BC ?!? Then why would you think 168 BC was the abomination of desolation, unless you think Jesus Christ is a liar? Wake up dummy and stop letting the "scholars" drag you down to their level of stupidity.

  • @MQ1611 There is more than one abomination of desolation, just like there is more than one meaning to many of the passages in the Bible.

  • @BeingBob

Jesus Christ said, "when ye shall see THE abomination of desolation". Apparently you can't read very well.

  • @MQ1611 I had no trouble reading it and understanding it Mack. You're the one with a problem because you're looking at the truth and denying it because it doesn't fit with what you believe.

  • @BeingBob

What I believe is Jesus Christ my saviour, he died for my sins, and rose again, and told me to believe on him and he'd give me eternal life. That's what I did. Now Bob you just make sure you're saved. Giving alms to get saved will only buy you a hole in hell.
