I am no fanboy and I actually work in the computer graphics and 3D Real Time industry and I can assure you that the XBox 360 is objectively technically superior to the PS3...and not (only) because of of its hardware, but because of its registers, which are way to hard to program...and that's a limit as serious as poor hardware. In fact, that's the first astonishing game I see...and no wonder it's from Sony CEE.

There are niche games here and there and some coming. Demon's Souls comes to mind, you should definitely try it since you're a fan of Ico stuff, I am pretty sure the niche of Demon's Souls would also win your heart :). Currently waiting also on the last rebellion, WKC and Ar Tonelico 3. Also waiting on my best friend to get his 360 back from repairs (RROD go figure), so I can finish Mass Effect. P.S. let me know if you try Demon's Souls, I am always willing to make a new character to play more

I think Sotc is a prequel to Ico, but the two are not really connected in any huge way. some people think that the main character in Ico is a desendant of the guy from Shadow, (because they both have horns) if anything, you could probably find Ico on eBay, or amazon or wherever.

Ico and SotC were really special games... they just gave you this feeling, this weird feeling of 'understanding', despite having really obscure story lines and and characters who rarely spoke, but who's motives were so simple, and what they did to achieve them so dark and compicated, it was magnificent. I just know the same's going to happen with this game.

I don't expect this to be a prequel nor a sequel, but definitely set in the same universe as SotC and Ico. What we're seeing here also may not be the final, definitive gameplay mechanics of the final product either.

I am just really impressed at how lifelike they've made the creature shown here, with it's movements and characteristics of real life animals.

It is not an Opinicus because his head is obviously look like dog/hyena. An Opinicus is half Eagle and half lion and that is not the case. Gryphon is not the case as well. Look at this one.. It is more of dog/hyena head.. so dont know the name of it or it is a brand new creative design by Japan, I guess. :)

It's not exactly a gryphon... gryphons have avian heads. And clasically, they're lion & eagle, rather than jackal and vulture, which is what this looks like.

I won't pay 30 bucks for a movie I can rent for 5. PS3 game line-up is less interesting for me than 360's. The only other games I would want to play on PS3 are multi-platform, so what's the point?
