The crash cars that are used for presentation don't even come with airbags (unless it's an human test), why should they waste money on something they don't need? and third, ofcourse the card electronics got damaged and the wipers came on, guess there were alot more things that started working after that impact. This also happened to Mercedes when they were demonstrating the same brake technology in their S class a few years ago. Someone turned the feature off and forgot to turn it back on.

It ended up with the same results rear ending a sample car.

Sorry guys, but it's a correct result. Volvo City Safety is working between 3,6 and 30 kmh, in range of 10 meters. It is able to stop the car only when the speed difference between the car and obstacle is less or 15 kmh, at higher speed it only reduces the impact.
