  • how much can i buy a 1903a3 for these days

  • @Medivac12

From $350, up depending on the condition.

  • indiana jones from 1903

  • nice gun im picking mine up tomorrow :D

what kind of scope mount is this? id love to have the same setup on mine

  • @IstayInDaBurg

It's a mil-spec Redfield Junior. They still make it.

  • These rifles are impressive. The M1903a1 UNERTL was capable of .58 MOA out to 600 yards at least with match ammo.

  • Jackson would be proud.

  • you need to watch out you are going to get scope eye

  • well at least its a true springfield and not a navy arms springfield. those things are shit. they take old drill rifles and convert them into shooting order and price them at 999.00

  • I love the look of the Springfield without the front sight. I've got an A3, but I would love to have an A4. Cool!

  • ill tell ya what ya can do......get rid of the hat and grow a set of balls.

  • @jnncbuhyc

And you can go fuck yourself.

  • @screamingcockatoo thats enough?? keep shooting that was just the beginning :D

  • were did you buy it?

  • Our father bought it in 1952 out of a barrel filled with 1903A3's and a few A4's.

The A4 cost more because it had a scope. $15 I believe.

    The A3 was only $12.

  • @screamingcockatoo I remember a store where I live that also sold surplus rifles out of barrels. In the early to mid 60's SVT-40 rifles were like $12. Ahhh, the good ole days.....

  • I would get a new bolt if i wur you, it looks like its not working rite, you should not need to hit it down like that. They are only like $30 and it is not that hard to put in.

  • you should oil the bolt action lever on the your 1903 it loked like you had a little trouble on moving it

  • It's is oiled, it's just very tight.

As in not worn out tight.

  • Look at Gibbs rifles, they make a reproduction 1903A4 out of A3's and they cost under $1000.

  • I love that rifle, Where can i buy a model like the one in the video??

  • @gregstiles21 Online. Original WWII rifle/scope combos go for about $6,000

  • Need a decent scope on that 03.

  • That's a joke right?

  • That IS a decent scope, it's original! Can't ruin a good old gun by modifying it! You want a nice new 40mm scope, go buy a new gun. Leave the old ones be; there't not so many of them left ya know....

  • @1903A3shooter Are you fucking serious?

  • Hey could I get the name of that gun store in Atlanta mate?

  • Chucks, in Buckhead.

  • I would love to have that rifle.

  • There is a gun shop here in Atlanta that hes 18, yes 18 hanging on the wall!

  • 18!? Why must I live in California?

  • Carlos Hathcok you are not. And if you are not

  • it hurts when you shoot the M1903 ?

  • It has a fair amount of recoil.

  • 30.06 is not a gentle round. You've got to have a fair amount of respect for the toughness of soldiers' collarbones before the current age of the assault rifle.

Then again, when your adrenaline is up it doesn't matter so much I suppose.

  • i've got a mosin-nagant and its in the same power category as the .30-06 didn't kick that bad.

  • I heard Remington made their own copy's of the same exact rifle.

  • All 1903-A4s were Remingtons.

  • I thought Springfield made most of them.

They turned their A3's into A4's.

  • springfield made 1903's primarily. remington had a 1903-like rifle that technically was a 1903 but they didnt have the rights to it. it was springfield

  • okay guys heres the clear up during the great war you had guns made at all ABLE GUN MANUFACTURING PLANTS even general motors made grease guns

  • is that the orginal weaver 73b scope on it?

  • It's the Lyman Alaskan.

The Weaver C330 broke and broke often.

  • that is a nice rifle

looks like a nice tight action. had a 03 that was sported

wish i still had it, traded for new winchester"hated the winchester"

  • Ive heard the longest shot made in ww2 was made by a Marine sniper in Okinawa using a 1903 sniper rifle...Cool guns!

  • Marines are the best shot in the world!

The longest shot ever taken was made by a Marine in Iraq, over a mile away.

  • Correction bud, longest shot was by Rob Furlong. Canadian Forces sniper in Afghanistan during Operation Anaconda. 2430 metres (about 2.5 km's away!!)

  • Comment removed

  • So therefore without sounding cocky or being a dick, Canadian Forces sniper's are the best shot on this planet hands down. We are the best trained soldiers too!! Maple Leaf forever my friends!!! :)

  • yepp i second that one

  • i love that rifle lemme have it

  • those 30-06 sprinfield rounds can give you a pounding, i use to own an 03 springfield sporterized "i bought it that way for $100" and the bolt was a bit sticky.

  • This one was sporterized by my father in 1952.

But my twin brother restored it.

  • The chamber is that tight on an A4.

  • please for the love of GOd, its not a mosin nagant, you dont have to bang the bolt down like that.
