my car gets no lights, doesn't hesitate, and doesn't "buck" as you call it. it just doesn't respond to moderate to heavy throttle. is it still possibly the tps??
I wish I would have seen this sooner! I just paid 178.00 to have one done on a 1993 Pontiac Bonneville! It was easy enough to get to it and change it out...
i have a 2001 ford ranger standard and as I'm stopped at a red light in neutral all of a sudden my truck starts idling high and if i turn off my ac i hear a click and it well idle lower then rived high again what can it be,please help me!!!!
hey i got a 96 to and im having problems with it. When i start it it is growly and rough and it gives if the smell of gas. then when that goes away when i start riding if i let go of the gas pedal all the way it shuts of. Some tell me its the map sensor some tell me the crank sensor some the 02 sensor and some the tps sensor. any tips
Great video! I want to just add a little to your TPS tests. After metering center to bottom, next meter center to top and look for smooth numbers but they run opposite to the other terminal (ie high to low instead of low to high), Next meter the top and bottom, ohms should not change through range. Finally meter between any terminal and any metal parts on the housing or plunger, use the 2 Megaohm range and ensure infinite ohms (open circuit).
I got a code 21 and what they should really do is put the red clip on the guy in the blue shirts left ass cheek and take the black lead and clip it on the old mans beard. That should give you a reading of 69
All the white mechanics in my city are good repairmen, but dishonest. All the illegal immigrant (Mexican) mechanics in my city are honest, but crappy repairmen! Lol!

i thought my problem was the tps, and i replaced mass air flow sensor, and bullseye. it was NOT the tps.
