ive been wanting to clean my G11 also, but i have one question.. what is the metal bar for under the 0 key on the numpad and space bar ect... am i ok to leave it flat or how is it ment to go when i put the keys back on ?
@LyfSkills Can I put out the bottoms like you on G15. I need to clean just 1 button and don't want to take out all that is inside. Just I had a bad experience with some mini keyboard and his contact plate (10 bottoms don't work on it till now)
second question^^: you know that switching-button to switch from desktop-mode to gaming-mode. It's at the left side of that volume-wheel. yea there was some lemonade to and that switching button sticks like hell! how can i clean that switcher?

but now my SPACE button sticks... i don't know what to do cause i cleaned it a few times and it still sticks. how should i clean it?
Did the alcohol discolor your keys/board at all? My friend used Isoprypol to clean off his G15 and he said that it looked really messed up afterwards.

Vacuum cleaners create a lot of static electricity. Not so good for electronics.

@plzuttaren No. That is impossible unfortunately. The keyboard uses rubber domes and isn't mechanical.

I put my keys in warm soupy water, in the sink and kind just rubbed them all together and swished them round worked fine :)

@DilynCorner Nope they look great to me. He may have used 100% isopropyl though. If your worried about it just dilute it a bit with water.
