  • Thank you for posting this! I laughed so hard I weed on my girlfriends hand!

  • Guy really got hit on the head in that last one!

  • As far as I'm concerned, the people who dislike this should all be up there together in the Statesville prison; along with Martin and Dutch and Lana and Thames and Sally Decker.

  • That last one must have hurt

  • On the DVD there's a bonus ending that is like 5-10 mins long frozen and so much happens

  • I love the way Leslie Nielsen look at the coffee being poured into the overflowing cup, then across at Alan North without moving a muscle in the fifth episode epilogue; totally makes the scene!

  • holy shit 6:32

  • Shirley you can't be serious! 5 people didn't like this? They must be deaf, dumb and blind. This was one of the funniest TV comedies of all time. The cast was perfect as was the writing. There has never been a show coming anywhere near the comedic quality this show had! And yes, I am serious! Signed, Shirley Decker (Sally's sister doing 1-5 at the Statesville Prison.

  • The last one is the best!

  • this is one of my favourite shows of all time

  • This is actually hilarious!

  • Somehow the crooks always end up doing their___________ at the Stateville Prison. LOL

  • R.I.P. Leslie Nielsen one of the funniest comedy actors . May he entertain the crowds wherever he is now!

  • Quality show

  • I saw Police Squad for the first time this week (I borrowed the DVD and having enjoyed it so much I've just ordered my very own copy) - a pleasure to watch, truly laugh out loud funny. My life is a little better now!

Police Squad was clearly way before its time, if such a perfect comedy was on nowadays I'd like to think that they would have commissioned another series at least. Oh well, at least we have the Naked Guns I guess.

  • The last ending was the best because since it was the last episode, they thought oh what the heck, the show's done so let's damage this place. Notice in 6:34, a plaster tile hit actor Peter Lupus (Norberg) on the head but he still stayed motionless. That was classic!!! RIP Leslie Nielsen, you will shirley be missed. :(

  • I'm surprised no other TV show has used the same concept.Although Parodies haven't been the same since the 80's,I'd still watch if someone made a TV show with the same sensibilities as Police Squad.

  • ROFL!

  • 3 people are rotting in Stateville with Martin, Dutch, Lana, Tammens, Sally Decker and Rivers.

If enough people knew that failing at life didn't pay, I'd be out of a job. Ha ha! *freeze frames while music plays*

  • What a great show - They had to cut one of the beginnings where Belushi had died by having cement shoes/tossed in a lake because he died in real life right before the show he was supposed to be on. I'd like to see that beginning some time...

Anyway, RIP Leslie Neilsen - you seriously have made me laugh all my life.

  • It is funny how leslie neilsen and the other actor can't stay in the same position for that amount of time.

  • ES LOHNT SICH IN 5 TAGEN 17.673 MAL GEKLICKT :-)

daumen hoch für euch echt supi song

  • One of the funniest shows ever.

  • Frank needs sunglasses.

  • The first six eps of almost any comedy sucks (Curb your enthusiasm is the only exception I can think of). Why did this get cancelled?

  • They're all great but the chimp running loose and tossing papers made me snort numerous times.

  • RIP Leslie Nielson. He was definitely tooooooo funny!!!!

  • Fucking great.

  • Awesome RIP Leslie!

  • The last ep also starts with a fake freeze-frame.

  • Of course, the real joke here is that these epilogues each contain the only joke in the episode, always a really lame one, that the characters themselves consider funny.

I hadn't noticed it before, but these scenes recap the previous eps, with each new crook sharing Stateville prison with all previous villains.

The last segment, starting at about 5:45, was done with everyone knowing that it was, in fact, the last segment, and that they could wreck the set.

  • Leslie Nielsen died yesterday of an illness in hospital. Nielsen's spokesmen, when asked what it was, replied "A big building with lots of doctors".

  • @Horatio Well said!

  • @Horatio

Surely he didn't mean that ?

  • @abobjob He did, and don't call him Shirley

  • 5:10 is the best

  • LMFAO Hard baby!!

  • I wonder what the in joke was with Sally Decker?

  • "Say when, Frank"

    "Whe..."

  • hope that wasnt hot

  • RIP LESLIE NIELSEN...

  • i like the one where the criminal escaped while everyone was frozen lmao

  • funniest show ever

  • That man knew a thing or two about comedy! RIP

  • Leslie Nielsen... dead? surely you must be joking.

  • @erikopnemer

    No, we're not joking.

    And don't call us Shirley.

  • AMAZING! Unfortunately I'm italian and I can't find anywhere the originals with subtiles.....

  • Friggin brilliant...

  • Haha they were pretty funny, last one was extreme lol!

  • RIP Leslie... we all miss you (we even forgive you for Spy Hard!)

  • @HaroldPhillipsPDX And Dracula Dead and loving it but not Scary movie 4, still a man has to make a living i suppose

  • @HaroldPhillipsPDX I liked Spy Hard! :(

  • So much win. RIP Leslie Nielsen.

  • Obj mercy LMFAO HARD

  • Dumbest cancellation in TV history.

    RIP Lt. Frank Drebin!

  • RIP Leslie Nielsen. One of the great comics of our time.

  • A bit of bandwagon jumping on action from me, but this show was a favourite of myself and my father's - you'll be missed Mr Nielsen

  • DAMN the guy at the end got his head DENTED and he took it for the team staying still.

  • Say when frank.,Whe...........Classic comedy. RIP Leslie :(

  • rest in peace, leslie!

  • The series lasted six weeks in the spring of 1982 because ABC simply wasn't satisfied with the ratings it was getting (compared to "MORK & MINDY", which soon returned to replace it, and THAT was cancelled at the end of the season as well). "POLICE SQUAD", at that time, was an "acquired taste"....either you liked it or you didn't. The theatrical movies spun off from the series were more successful.

  • RIP

  • R.I.P.

  • R.I.P. Leslie!

  • Holy schnikies! Dat show so funny!

  • RIP Leslie. You made us all laugh. From the belly and the heart.

  • God bless hiim!

  • RIP - this show was way ahead of it's time.

  • Funny Funny man, I LOVE your movies, Question of the Day to honor Leslie Nielsen. Who are you and how did you get in here? I'm a locksmith and i am A Locksmith

  • You, sir, were a GOD of comedy! May your soul rest in peace!

  • RIP Leslie! You will be missed!

  • the two people who disliked this are called sally and martin decker, love this show

  • hands down the funniest stuff ever on tv !!!

  • I love in the last one where Frank's paper doesn't flop down till the very end! JHa!!

  • Would have loved to see the freeze frame endings in the Naked Gun movies just to see if the actors could stay frozen for the entire end credits.

  • :))

  • I like the chimp in the suit just throwing all the papers in the air. And Norberg coming in the middle of the closing credits and him hammering the poster to the wall with the phone and everything getting destroyed...one of the funnies shows too bad it was cancel after just 6 episodes.

  • fake freeze ending fx

  • Comment removed

  • Short lived series, but sheer genius. Seen them again and again, and i still get tears of laughter.

  • Act II: Brute? :D

  • how can you not laugh when doing this?

  • Abrahams & the Zuckers were brilliant!

  • I saw this during its initial run... and was crushed when it went off the air!! The FUNNIEST detective spoof ever!!!

  • One of the weepingly funniest laugh-out-loud comedies EVER written!

Why does the average American need dumbass punchlines and laugh tracks to known when to laugh? Sad indictment.

  • I love the "Stateville" prison running jokes. And Dreben makes a philosophical remark about dope after which the entire office falls down around him! FUNNY!

  • Every single one of these has me in hysterics.

  • That closing with Peter Lupus is my favorite. I'm sorry he wasn't used as Norberg in the movies.

  • does anyone know the name of the soundtrack from the end of each episode?:D

  • jajajajaja, Check on 6:32....jajajaja

  • Wow, according to Wikipedia, this show lasted only 6 episodes? I remember watching Police Squad when it was on cable TV back in the 90's, great show! but ABC's excuse for canceling it after 6 episodes was stupid. Can't wait to get the complete series on DVD!

  • @blockemall It's better to burn out than to fade away.

  • OMG xDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD the first epilogue xD

  • what year was this show on

  • 1982

  • @ash93 How many seasons did it run? one?

  • absolute classic i watched it other day on dvd.

  • @1985SJW

I think I'm going to buy the dvd's now!!

  • leslie neilson was the man

  • how they did these without completely losing it is amazing

  • last one is classic

  • Best was the second.

  • Pure geniusness!!!!!!!!!!!!11111111111111oneoneone

  • Norberg just couldn't catch a break.

  • bet that hurt at 6:35

  • Yes foam and dust are very heavy and painful.

  • I agree pretty funny, never seen this series before,I guess I gotta watch them now.

  • oh, this is where CHUMS took it from!

  • They should relaunch this series and make more episodes. This series was brilliant, damn it!

  • It's too late leslie neilsen is the only person for the job and he's way too old now

  • Leslie Neilson is still starring in movies though

  • Yeah but he's in his 80's it's not gunna be the same as when he was in his 50's.

  • The last one was hilarious when part of the roof fell ontop of that police officer's head who was using the phone... lol

  • 6:35 ROFL!!

  • 4.30 FTW!!!

  • 3:10 FTW :)

  • knowing police squad, he 100% works there ;p

  • And the crooks always end up in the Stateville prison.

  • Along with Martin, Dutch Gunderson, Lana and Sally Decker!

  • Fantastic, Police Squad was short lived but was brilliant:)

  • hilarious

  • Fantastic! thanks for posting!

  • lololololol

  • howabout the coffee he was pourin on leslie nelson he almost look like wanted to scream....lol

  • If this had lasted longer it would have been interesting to see if they had kept up the gag of naming all the crooks they had caught in the previous episodes

  • LOL in the second one the crook can't get out the door because someone's standing right in the middle of the doorway

  • Say when, Frank?!

  • whe..

  • Man, I used to watch this all the time when I was a kid (now 27). Classic man. Seemed like Leslie Nielsen didn't really age.

  • BBBBhahaha, the Last one was EEEPPPICC!!!

  • Wheres OJ as Nordberg?

  • Peter Lupus played Nordberg on the show. O.J was only in the movies

  • I went to super megafest last month & I met Leslie Neilsen there, I asked him about Oj & he said he disgusted with the whole situation on him.

  • Yeah, he really tainted all the movies for me in hindsight...I can't even watch them. I always wondered why they switched to OJ in the first place. Also, wasn't Alan North still alive when they did the first movie? He was great, George Kennedy was boring.

  • Paramount said the film had to have film stars.

The creators explained all this on the Police Squad dvd.

  • Are you trying to tell me George Kennedy "puts asses in seats" like Jim Carrey? LOL

  • FREEZE!!!!!

Too bad this show didn't last a few seasons. They'd have a long list of people at the Statesville Prison..

  • good stuff you gotta be good actors to do slapstick well and they do

  • awesome

  • The second epilogue bit and the last one are the best.

  • Police Squad was great thanks for the memories

  • HAHA ouch! at 6:34

  • I've always prefered the original shows over the movies. The even beat the Airplane movies.

  • This was my favorite gag from the show.

  • still I wish they didn't cancel the show

  • Lol, the last one was the best

  • These are fantastic, thanks for uploading!

  • I loved this show, thanks for putting all this together, I don't know why it didn't last longer than it did.

  • In a way it did, thanks to the Naked Gun movies.
