Yugo M70ab2

I called Century Arms and spoke to someone who was supposedly a Yugo AK knowledgeable person. I asked him a simple question. Can I shoot steel case ammo in my Yugo M70 ab2 and not harm the rifle? He would not give a straight answer, he only said brass was the best and steel case would be ok from time to time. Again I asked, "Will it harm my rifle"? And again he would not give a yes or no! My local gunsmith said don't becasue it would ruin the chamber! What? Is this true?

I just bought the M70 AB2 from an FFL dealer in Georgia and had it shipped here to my state of Maryland. But, guess what: I got it for $529.00! No panic buy increase in price and I ordered it on April 19, 2011. Plus, it's apparently going out of production for new ones. Hold on to the one that you have because once it's no longer available, then you'll see the increase in price. I can't wait to shoot mine at the range!

Hi mate.. Am from Serbia.. Those barrels you saw - I bet they are some fucked up ones.. Good ones from Serbia you can't buy in the USA am afraid. I know zastava arms (producer) signed some deal with USA company, so I guess thats why barrel is produced in the USA.. Maybe try w w w dot zastava-arms dot rs and see on the site is there an option for you to buy the original barrel. Be adivised, they are not chrome plated, but they do provide better accuracy though.

I traded this rifle for a Mak 90 but I will buy another M70 in a few months because I enjoyed it. If I find a Mitchell arms m70 I will slam down the big bucks on it because they are closer to the original M70 specs.

i just bought a yugo last saturday and the sticker price was $899.99. that's an arm if not a leg but it's a very well made rifle and so easy to field strip. as the guy says an assault rifle ban may or may not happen. i'm betting on may. get yours now before it goes for $1299.99

Because I would like a pair since the black synthetic ones are not original to the rifle and are not as nice looking as a set of wood handguards.

Nice. I've got the exact m70ab2. Double check your front sight, mine were canted slightly to the left.
