I'm an advance fan of 33 to 45 films . Propaganda was documentary or fiction. In features to short. A small percentage were pro military pro war , pro hate, anti communism, and Hollywood style films , musicals, romances , Westerns, two in fact. The entertainment side depending just had subtle propaganda. Like the one I'm waiting for, Das Grosse Abetuer , It makes fun of New York and American culture. Habanera has Hitlers mustache in it. Check for yourself, It's available in u.s.a.

yesterday i satrted to search for 1933 to 1945 german movies after re-watching inglorious basterds. i'm curious about what the propaganda was like.

Thanks mostcynical for posting this. SO many people are ignorant of how terribly Germany was treated after WW1. Had we shown Germany some respect in 1919 and not left them a broken nation there probably not been a WW2. WW1 was a "draw", not a French Victory! France reaped the whirlwind in 1940 for their atrocious behaviour in 1919. I'm glad we defeated Hitler because he was a maniac, but creatures like Hitler are not created in a vacuum... -Peace-

@georgekostaras yes, command by Adolf Hitler. - In France, german generals have the command. Then came dünkirchen and Hitler takes command.

Anyone interested in this who has not seen the special edition of Triumph des Willens on DVD should check it out. It features a voice overdub track with commentary by Prof. Anthony Santoro, an expert on the cast of characters who made up the NSDAP and the Police & Army. It's very interesting, and the film itself is amazing on remastered DVD.

The fact that this type of material is available on a site like youtube is amazing! I came across a reference to this film in an economics book and was highly doubtful that I would ever be able to see how the German propaganda machine spun the events of 1940, yet here we are! Thank you so much for posting this!
