  • looks amazing! how much did all this cost?

  • u need to take subs outa the cabnett

  • Arghhhh he didnt fart, it was the door squeak , can you all please stop with the fart jokes?

  • very cool!! if I had the space for it I would make myself also a theater room

  • If I had money like u I would build one of these rooms too. But in Florida there's no basements so I would have to build a whole other room. Lol

  • o.o

  • what are the full demensions of your home theater room

im trying to make one but im not sure if the room is big enouf

  • Was that fart in THX?

  • can i come live with you?

  • I really take my hat off to the beautiful custom home theater you have. But do not agree that the sub is the main part of a cinema. I think this is a center speaker. since 60-70% of the audio comes out of this channel.

The next front speakers and then sub. And last surround speakers

  • @TheSennheiser88

i agree with this dude the center channel plays a lot of the audio and movies tend to have long low notes that drown out higher frequencies leaving you with a lot of bass and people asking what did he say i couldn't quite hear him over the diesel engine in the background..

  • Does the title say affordable?

  • How much dose a projector cost?

  • cool. respect very good video and very well rewiew

  • Very nice home theater.

  • How far from the screen is the projector?

  • what speakers are you using, power amps and projector screen?

  • Ghost fart

  • did he fart at 00:24

  • @LegacyPranks yeah,i think he did..lol!

  • Very awesome! I want one like that!

  • Nice work dude!

  • Did you spend so much money on your home theatre system that you couldn't afford to start over after you farted? I also noticed there was "minimal distortion" of your fart.

  • @jimmybobs999 the guy is just trying to make it detailed instead of saying "Yo, this is my home theater, k bye."

  • Who farted at 0:24?

  • AWESOME!

i wanna play Xbox in there!

  • This is by far my favorite theater on youtube. I have gone to your website and I still didn't see what I was looking for. If it is not to personal I would like to know how much you paid for the entire theater finished project.

  • LOL at 25 seconds he farted.

  • how much was all of it?

  • great work, really nice theatre.

  • how much do u think it wld cost to make a decent nice home cinema?

  • @imafisher67 for more information, including costs, design ideas, and do it yourself information please visit: diymovierooms(dot)com

I'd plan on budgeting 10-20k if you DIY, but you could easily build one for under 10k initially and save some upgrades for later.

  • Very nice theater man.

  • nice job

  • you should hook up a ps3 or xbox 360 on it great sound and pic love your video im looking get 100 inch pronecta screen my self

  • Whooooooooooooooooa!! How much will all those cost together?

  • diymovierooms(dot)com has all of the costs, materials, and outlines the entire project from start to finish

  • hello where did you get the floor lights ? im building one a little bit bigger then this and has full bar in back :}

  • Nice Fart lmfao

  • Where do you live? I am in the process of building my theater in my basement and I would hire you in a heartbeat. Any chance you might be in the Philly area?

  • I am in the Philadelphia area. Send me an email at diymovierooms@gmail.com and I'll be happy to help.

  • Nice theater bro, but agreed the screen is way small. My room is identical in size and I went with 126". You should consider something larger.

  • A screen that is too large for a room is a common mistake. Most projectors cannot produce a high quality image for screens larger than 100 inches. Although I can safely use a 130" screen with my projector, it would simply be too big for the room. To learn if your screen is the right size, check out my seating distance calculator at diymovierooms(dot)com. Everyone has their own preference, but keep in mind the larger the screen the more trade-offs you are making in regards to image quality.

  • @dlp710 My projector is JVC RS10 and it performs very well. Not sure what PJ your using but mine performs outstanding without any trade offs. Image is excellent and black level is really good. AVS member sherardp, see my pics there.

  • screen is way too small for that size room. from the back row it's like looking at a 32 inch tv. everything else is nice though.

  • very nicely done!

  • nice fart!

oh the theatre aint bad either. :)

  • Excellent!!

  • Nice movie theater and right now we r trying to make our movie theater so my friends could see how it looks

  • That is a fantastic layout. Excellent craftsmanship and design. My wife and I built our home theater. It took us 3 years. We did everything ourselves on a very limited budget. Looking forward to more videos.

  • WOW great job - Im building my HT right now and the size of mine is very close to yours thanks for giving me some ideas!

  • Really nice job. I'd like to see more on the gear! Thanx!

  • the door lock is a bit much lol...

  • I agree, but badass anway

  • If I did not have a lock, my kid would be in there 24 hours a day. Consider it a must if you have children.

  • @dlp710 i understand and relate i'm about to embark in such mission and am a father of 7 and will also need a door lock of sort (it's as is and i have 5 hdtv's and can't get an hour in sideways)lol.

  • Hi I really admire your hard work love your home theatre .

  • Great Job , with your project

  • answer the phone im calling you

  • It's the door - a 100 pound + door whose hinges need some silicone.

  • HEHE LOL @ 0:24, I think it is the door but hard to tell. Yer I think it is the door closing behind him. :)

  • nice fart ahahahhahahaahhahahahahahahahaahahahh

  • Did the guy bust ass at .24 minutes. LOL!

  • i watched 6 mins and u didnt even turn it on

    !!!!!!!!!!

  • it doesnt matter how big ur TV or screen is its still the same shit on TV lol

  • by bump outs are you refering to the columns

  • Great man! i love it, and u should pick up the telephone.

  • I liked the fart when you entered to room

  • lol its just too hard to take him seriously after that.

  • @ridethebmx haha I never noticed the fart noise till now. Right on cue too

  • @ridethebmx YESSS!!!!!

  • what do bump outs do? as far as acoustics?

  • yo

if this is in ur basement

cud u tell me how u got steps in ur theatre nd how u got lighting on the floor

  • It's called an electrition.

  • All the floor lighting is low voltage, 12v and is run from a transformer installed in the back (audio/video) room. The lighting is the same found in Regal Theaters and all the lights are LED and can be dimmed via the Grafik eye controller via scenes.

  • The steps were made by framing out a platform and installing that on top of the concrete floor. I used 12" x 8' pressure treated lumber, cross braced it every 2' and then glued and screwed tonque and groove plywood base as the flooring. On top of that went the lighting system and the carpet just slides into the groove.

  • can you talk to us about how you did your acoustics treatment? this is nice setup man.

  • dude.......thats frickin cool, it's beautiful

  • Very Impressive setup. Most decent theater i seen on youtube. What kinda receiver are you using for audio? and, what speakers? good job on creating your setup. May be next time you can have a video playing a movie preview?

  • Thanks for the feedback. For more information about cost and equipment, please visit my site at diymovierooms(dot)com.

  • could you post the full specs of the theater and the cost if possible?

how did u do the audio acoustics treatment?? by you or a pro??

  • I did the acoustics. I purchased the fabric at a local retailer and installed them with a foam-like backing on top of the wood; and stapled the fabric on the back. I'll post a cost breakdown shortly.

  • Most of the work was done by myself. I hired a contractor for the drywall and basic electrical, but 80%+ of the work was DIY. For more info, please visit diymovierooms(dot)com

  • @dlp710

I really want to build one of these when I own a house someday, I have lots of cool ideas for one. :D I like yours, and the lock is funny (young kids = complete destruction)

  • nice man
