My Dad is a plank owner. The more I read about her, the more I realize how important it is to save her. The first of her class. I am so glad she is coming to Jacksonville. I hope and pray I can get my Dad over there to see her. Proud Navy brat here.

I was aboard the chucky deuce from 88-89 and sailed her last med. I think of her and the times we had often.

Rode her as a RM 70-73.. Med Cruise, STANAVFORLANT, Overhaul in Chasn in between... Could not stand it then... love it now... Sound familiar anyone??

Lovely old girl. I "rode" DDG-23, the "Shootin' Richard" in 77, 78, and 79. I'd give a lot to be riding her again today . . .
