You are the only person on youtube in a car repair video that: #1 Hit all of the points, tricks, and tips that a shop mechanic would hit. and #2 actually sound like you know what you are talking about. Excellent video, you should make tutorials for a living. (we both know that being a mechanic pays crap even in a dealership)
Hey. Great vid (so far, yet to watch part 2 :). Not sure why you are changing the pads though, there is plenty of life left in those yet. By the way, the first side of the rotor (discs in the uk) you showed us is badly worn, the second side is abysmally worn. Plus you only have a few millimeters tolerance between a new rotor and a worn one, so you wouldnt be able to skim that without dipping below tolerance, and risking cracking in the rotor.
mate, i want to say THANKS because 2 days ago, i took the plunge and went ahead for the first ever time! hey presto!! all good!! however i want you to do a similar video for the rear brakes where they are drums as i have been told they are more awkward
Just changed the brake pads on my Ford Focus. Very helpful video. Saved me loads of time tring to work it out for myself. I love the internet for this sort of stuff. Many thanks inteed.
im so dumb.. I was trying to take the other bolts off >_< I feel so dumb.. haha no wonder it wouldn't budge

@hakan38 I appreciate the feedback and you're very welcome. When the time comes to do the back brakes, I will film it. Cheers

next time you do this; dont allow old fluid to return back to the resevoir, fluid in the brake piston needs to be bled. other than that great video.
