I recorded this version from the radio on a blue scotch casette tape back in about the summer of 85.. I played it for many years.. This was the first time seeing the video..
It's funny cause it's almost like Deja vu..thanks for posting..cheers
I saw this tour at the Hollywood Palldium..They sold it out so quick that they added a 2nd show which I saw as well.. This is their absolute peak as a band!!!
This was on the B side of the 45 mini LP release of Alive and Kicking. Released in the States in the fall of 1985. I remember it well. I used to play this live version in my dorm room in college, as often as I could. As loud as I could. Funny thing; in the next dorm building another guy used to play U2's New Years Day. Between the two of us, we had a great time. If there is a Heaven , then I hope this is one of the songs played there.
the keyboards have a cool and catchy phrase, but it's really the drums that make this such a tight song- which is actually due to the master of Funk, Herbie Hancock's work on New Gold Dreams, but they have someone sitting in on this vid. You'll remember him from his popular 80's track "Rock It."
Minordian, well done for posting tracks from this show..Saw them 44times now..Edinburgh 09??? come in+sparkle in the rain..Dub,Glas,A`deen,why not? It`ll be Xmas
ya know these guys are simply just fucking brilliant live...part of me thinks they should have been far MORE succesful than what they were....sounding like an old fart now asking this question..is it me?....but have these guys got more class in there little fingers when it comes to playing live than most top bands emerging today?....anyones comments would be appreciated...thanks again for the up and awesome job on the audio mate...cheers!!!

probably theyre most powerfull track
i remember that the album got slagged at the time for the poor mixing job that producer Steve
Lillywhite did
the keyboard work is the key to the simple minds
sound, its quite amazing the sound that they got from the jupiter 4 and obxa in their earlier work
live , checkout rockpalast live 1982 (their best gig video)

Faultless...there is another video out there showing the same performance but the sound quality on this one is better... just great!!!

The audio track was 'tricked' up in Cubase SX and T-Racks. The original mono audio was quite muddy.
peace.
