Gittahfiend: Was that God's word or words coming from a human being with a pea sized understanding of God's message? All of God's words came about through human translation and humans often have flawed understandings. But the essence of God teaches limitlessness and expansion. Example: The universe expands at the speed of light. To me, homophobia is a limitation and God knows no limitation. Being gay is just simply a way of being and there are infinite ways of being, all manifestations of God.

Sorry, that's your interpretation. You wern't around during that time to verify it. By the the church didn't want to divest it's "wealth" to the offspring of priests, so celibacy was added to the list of dictates of priesthood. I stick with a spiritual basis of life any day, than listen to a bunch of hypocrites tell me they are doing things in God's name. Also of note, historically most wars have been started in God's name! @gittahfiend Bart Ehrman, bible scholar, would not agree with you. His conclusion is that the bible is the word of man, not God. It is a book full of error and contradiction.

I first caught MB in the Secret dvd which seemed to be a team effort to reiterate what I personally had already learned from Tony Robbins stuff a decade earlier .. which Robbins already said back in the early days that he didn't invent either. I hear a lot of reiteration out there and while I was originally a little put off at how similar it all was to Robbins ... we can never have too much of this. It is all good. All slightly different takes on the same thing. And it is all very helpful.

A friend invited me to Agape years back. I didn't want a religion or a cult. It took me years to go. When I finally did, I was overcome with love and peace. It's not a cult. It's not about him. You don't join anything. You experience a teacher who guides you to a spiritual place where you can open yourself to possibilities. You are in total control. I live in NY now and miss going to agape. There's no other religious or spiritual group that speaks to my soul like this one. I've tried it all.

You is not us. You is a separation. It's an idea that we are individual and not one. Pay attention to the language. Because we do think in language. and the quality of our thoughts can only be as good as the language we use. The idea of you or I is a point where separation begins. Because we no longer see our selves psychologically as a whole being. So rather than saying I am such-and-such..If I say we are such-and-such etc. Then it is implying all moving as one entity and discarding egoism.
