  • your long fingernails DISTURB ME! guuhhh

  • too bad B&N removed web browsing.

  • Why do you say the web browsing experience is better on the Nook when the person couldn't scroll the web browser up after repeated attempts?

  • nook all the way

  • The Nook Simple Touch does indeed have an LED notification light right next to the micro USB charging port. The color changes during charging to indicate the level of charge on the battery and is NOT the "hard reset button" as stated in this video. Also, the Nook battery will actually last for about 6 weeks of reading with Wi-Fi off!

  • Just wanted to point out that Android is linux-based, so if Kobo runs their own flavour of Linux, then they are both technically linux-based operating systems on there :-)

  • Great comparison video! I might have missed it but what about the battery life? Which one last longer on one charge?

  • @sylviahiuwaichow They both are about the same, a month in standby and a few weeks with WIFI on and constant reading, but you might be able to squeeze out a month on both devices reading a few hours a day every day. The more you refresh the pages the less the battery life is

  • @ogrejd - unlike the kobo app for the ipad, the kobo touch's reading life is not currently connected to social networks and is self contained to the ereader itself. it can also be turned off if you don't wish to use it.

  • Gotta wonder if there's a way to turn off the "social" garbage on the Kobo? Can't see myself EVER wanting an ereader logging everything I do and contacting random sites to squeal on me...
