  • :O Thank youuu.

  • Wow - John K sounds different.

  • I really like John K's new wave look.nice skinny tie!

  • This was one of the most brilliant cartoons to ever grace the Saturday screen!

  • What show is this?

  • This Stupid,S-! on The McNeill/Lehner Report. He talks like Mr.Bakshi has never worked on "Mighty Mouse"or on any "Terry Tunes"cartoons. This Jerk doesn't know that Mr.Bakshi had worked on"MM"and the other "Terry Tunes"..long before he began work on this new version.

  • Bakshi and squad rock.

  • OH My God! "Billy Gum Wad"..That is the dumbest name for a character in tv cartoon.

  • @143AC Well when John went with the character in "The Ripping Friends", he changed it to the Indigestible Wad. Which I think is better than Billy (which I think he just came up with at that moment, so he came up with a quick and dirty name).

  • Jim Reardon, oh wow.

  • For the last time, Mighty Mouse was inhaling a flower- NOT COCAINE!!!! It was one of Reverend Donald Wildmon's "faithful flock" who supposedly saw the alleged scene on TV, reported it to his organization- and that's why CBS caved in to pressure from Wildmon's group to eventually cancel the series.

  • Geez, look at their hair! j/k B)-~~~

  • Aww! Everyone looks so young and cute. ;)

  • So was it the ratings that killed the show, or the scene with Mighty Mouse snorting coke?

  • Billy Gumwad would become The Indigestable Wad in The Riping Friends

  • Didn't Ralph Bakshi and John K make another show together called "Tatter Town?

  • John wasn't involved with "Tattertown".

  • Tom Minton? Wow.

  • It's cool to see a younger John K. in Live Action-I'm trying to follow his lessons on the Animation Archive now.

  • That's so cool! I heard everyone who did those lessons got really good at drawing really quickly. I'm jealous!

  • wait can you guys fill me in? i would love to kno more about these "lessons".....i love john k

  • Where did you FIND THIS?! It's amazing!

  • Jim Reardon looks like Dave Hill , the giutarist for Slade.

  • It's not a documentary. It's from the McNeil/Lehrer News Hour on PBS.

The full clip of Bakshi shows him meeting Judy Price at CBS about Mighty Mouse.

  • Thanks, Kelly! I'll add that to the description.

I didn't recognize the voice of the narrator! I'm gonna try to track down the full clip.

  • Wow, everyone looks so young! It's almost hard to believe it's been 20 years since that footage was recorded.

Thanks for posting this. From what program was this excerpt taken?

  • Some PBS series... I can't find out where exactly from.

  • thank you for posting this.
