  • WHAT?! THERE ARE MORE THAN JUST TEN VIDEOS?! DAMN YOU DAMN YOUUUUUUUUUUU HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO SLEEP NOW?!

  • @convoku Actually, there should be one more. Apparently some other Roadshow find was worth enough to appear on the list, but I've just been too lazy to upload it and reorganize all the videos.

Very happy you've enjoyed them all. But please, keep your pseudo-intellectual reflections and distorted perceptions of history, (like how America is bad) out of the comment section.

  • There was a young lady with a Spanish Conquistador helmet many years ago that she found in her attic and was going to throw away. I think it was appraised at $250,000 - $500,000. If it is in your list, I must have missed it. Thank you for the uploads!

  • @unclearless From IMDB: "One of the episodes featured a woman with a fifteenth century Spanish parade helmet; this episode has been taken off the syndication list because the producers were unable to reach the woman later."

And I haven't been able to find the video. I've asked around. If you find it, let me know - I'd love to add it!

  • @Ultranothing The real story behind them taking that episode off the air is that this was a "ringer", someone who the appraiser knew and brought in. So they took that one (and a couple other episodes that did the same) off the air.

  • i think i remember one antique's episode where the appraised said a paintin was worthless but underneath that canvas was another work, which was a lost painting by someone famous and it was worth a ton. anyone recall that one?

  • cool

  • these are all wonderful, thanks for keeping them up for so long, it's great!

  • What's all the dissing on the american hosts? They give history on the object quite often and seem very friendly.

  • only antiques roadshow fans:

hi, im lookin for the "capuccino monk paint" that appear in this program between 2001-2005 (dnt remember), i need info about that picture, please contact me.

  • I agree. the experts in the uk version are far friendlier and bring a bit of humour and interest into the objects as well as expressing their pleasure in finding the thing and talking to the owners. the value is usually a short but pleasant ending. In the US version the experts get straight down to business and just talk about the market and autions and insurance anf everything. The hardly crack a smile especially the guy doing the snoopy strips. bleh the uk one is far more heartwarming!

  • yeah but the brit experts have awful teeth.

  • Nice generalization...using this perspective I quess British are obsessed with old men chasing around women with tassels on their breast.

  • yes they are!

  • Hell Yeah!!

  • love all the videos! thanks!

  • My Pleasure!

  • Thanks for posting these. I watch Roadshow all the time.

  • god i love your videos! what gave you the influence for making the top ten Antiques Roadshow items?

  • I saw a commercial on PBS for the Roadshow with a theme centered on the appraisal of the $500k Navajo weaving, which I'd never seen. Finding the video of that auction turned out to be a lot more difficult than I thought, so when I finally DID locate it (and the other nine) I thought I'd make it easier for the next person by posting them all on YouTube.

I was very surprised that no-one had done so already.

  • Excellent work for doing this. It's always cool when people bring in their antiques and then find out they are worth loads. Cheers!

  • @Ultranothing thank you so much for posting these, I've enjoyed them so very much
