You did "ok". You should of semtexed the other riot shield user. Also, stun grenades are good for riots as riot shields do not get affected by them.

commando is one of the best yellow perks. If you knife alot than you will know what I mean. Also, pro version gives you no fall damage.

I don't know what to think about the riot shield. I've never used it, because everyone I've seen with it was so easy to kill, and I can't tell if it's because it's that flawed, or if I've just never seen someone who was good with it.

I love using this on domination to cap bases and to punk people by killing them with it. You might die a bit but it is a distraction and your teamates shoot the idiots shooting at your shield. I also like when noobs run away from it and I chase them down with marathon and lightweight on.

i would suggest usung a throwing knife and scavenger. everytime u reached for your pistol u could have easily gotten a kill with a knife instead. also, i dont know if lightweight works with riot shields. i think it might cancel out

ahahahah, I use this exact same setup and my team ALWAYS wins on Domination, even if they are getting slaughtered. They win because I am able to run very fast and capture every objective very easily because people don't know what the hell to do about my shield.

I've also gotten very good at bashing them to death without being killed. This is an excellent strategy for Domination but takes a bit of practice. It doesn't work very well on Deathmatch though...

I use the Throwing Kniffe over my Grenade, allows me to have a fast ranged weapon without switching to the pistol.

I use AA12 over Pistol, though. Haven't tested the Pistol yet, probably will, just for the quickness you get out of switching to the pistol. If you're using AA12, you have to lure. Alot.

Maps like Favela (or whatever it's called), are amazing for this. Let them see you with the Shield, then back off and around a corner. Quickly prone, and wreck them when they come around.
