i got the same lawn mower but mine has a 7.00 horsepower engine same thing pretttty much but dude mine has the self front propelled engine with the key start and it runs great and you dont have to pull the cord just turn on the engine like a car you shouldve got that one but is a little bit more for 329.99 it runs great its really good beacuse imy lawn is 1.5 acres and does a great job
I have a 2006 Craftsman mower, 6.75hp Briggs. It has been a 1 pull starting mower for 4 years. jthis on and the 1987 toro whirlwind tecumseh i grew up with are the best mowers i have ever used.
I also have tried bagging, picking up those tall weeds, as well as picking up lots of pine needles. It picks up like a vacuum. Mulching is great. I only try to let the lawn get about 4" in spots most about 2". I don't have clumps every where. I do clean mine out every time with the hose washout function, which is close to power washing the underside. Maintain it like they say and it should give no issues. I also get mine to start with 1 to 2 tries. Very nice mower when maintained.
I have a 675 series, of the same year, but a limited edition. I didn't have a blue handle. It is a big wheel model and a key start and it is self propelled. I got mine for $100 with tax brand new because it was discontinued and at a Sears Outlet store. I have had no problems with it. I went up a steep hill where the previous tenent didn't mow, so the weeds where knee high and some where the stick kind. Up the hill and threw the weeds with out even slowing down.
my dad is a land scaper and man does he pot miles on his mowers
he recently bought a honda hrx with variable speed because we have always herd great things about honda , my grampa has had his for 11 years atleast and no major problems. and it was #2 on consumer reports i belive
well its not as great as i would think a honda would be , for example there is a bar thet hangs over an inch below the body under the back so the 2 wheels in the back adjust with one bar
well this one hondas worst idea because when ever you get close to the edge of the yard or a high spot or low spot in the yard
it will tear up the yard , it s a royal pain in the ass! also the self propelled handle wears out and looses resistance and isnt very comfortable,
I have a 17 year old craftsman runs awesome to this day! Craftsman are insanely awesome!!!

@MrRedwings313 We were on a tight budget and we didn't need a self-propelled model cause we have a small lawn, but yours sounds pretty awesome.

but on the bright side for the most part the construction /build quallity has seemed to be ok
the blade disengages fine and starts on the first or second pull (has a choke on the throttle)
runs good, i reallly love the quadracut system
but the rear wheels have been giving me greef have been getting a bit wobbly
but i hoe it lasts longer than the 4 toros he had
those had good points like the personal pace push but the gears wore out and wasnt built as good
