This was a wonderful animation, but nothing can replace the wonderful imagery that the poem itself conjures. It's disheartening to see so many of you refusing to read.
Except Author's court is supposed to be childish and superficial, both at the beginning and at the end. And Author is a child, or at least so young he doesn't have a beard yet. And the Green Chapel was supposed to look like a woman's vagina (mound) leading into the earth.
Everything else was awesome tho! Very creepy, which suits the book well :D
@GroovyMonkey787 Look at it again. Gawain rides between a woman's legs into the bushy vagina shaped Mound. Arthur was given the classic bearded look we all remember.
i rly loved this :] now i dont have to read the book either! very interesting story, sadly the idiots in my class cannot understand it. very trippy animation too! :D
the only thing i noticed missing was the desciption of the green knight was a bit wrong. He was more gentile and youthful, very handsome and covered in jewels.
in the text: sir gawain and the green night......... do they really exchange gifts? like the dude gives him meat and gawain gives him kisses?? im really confused please help
I getting ahead yea =)

I read the book and watched this excellent video. The video made the story much clearer to me. One complements the other.

Yes they really do exchange gifts in the text, but remember the act was much more symbolic.

I have no words to express how much I love this story and how much I love Gawain - and this cartoon.

I like that they maintained little details, like the Green Knight using his axe to vault over the river in the Green Chapel.

Very well done and very true to the poem with some dialogue change, but that's okay. Nice job.
