I thought this was a great World Cup, I was in Spain when the final happened, was in a pub with my family and their friends, everyone wanted Spain to win and only I wanted NL to win lol, after the final and watching this montage almost made me well up that the Cup had ended, especially when I remembered our ungiven goal.

to suggest that the stadiums simply descended miraculously on South Africa is a real disrespect to the struggle of the laborers from the region who worked to make them what they were. This isn't district 9. South Africa wanted to host this and worked hard to do just that.

@sdubagner I agree 100% that the District 9 footage is totally misused and that it was the labourers who worked hard (most likely for minuscule wages) to make this World Cup happen. It's just a shame that from the huge revenue South Africa undoubtedly received from hosting this event... very little will go back into the communities that supported it and made it happen.
