One Christmas eve some friends & I jammed this song. Jack played guitar, Jan played piano, & I played cornet (a smaller trumpet). I Saw The Light sounded pretty good on a brass instrument, if I say so myself. A few years later I REALLY saw the light & accepted Christ as Lord & Savior. This song planted the seed. Hank was indeeed found to be dead in the back seat of his car while being driven to a concert. The place he was discovered to be dead was in Oak Hill, WV. Just barely north of Beckley,WV on what we refer to now as old rt. 19. For any who are interestd in visiting the spot, RT. 19 now is a 4 lane highway that connects many travellers from Canada and the New York area to I-77 and I-64 in Beckley, WV. Just a little piece of history in case you wanted to visit it during your travels.

@sssudsberry Disrespect?? Hank Williams died of morphine, B12, chloral hydrate, and alcohol and had a daughter with one of his secretaries!! Love me some Hank Sr (I also understand he was in a lot of pain due to his spina bifida) but the only difference between him and 3 is 3 is open about his vices. I myself am not into the devil crap but he is a great artist and his individualism should praised as his grandfathers was.

Yes, Amen to Hank Williams SR. There will NEVER be another Hank. He was truley one of a kind.His personal life was a mess. But I feel in my heart he got it right with the Lord before he left this world, And he is in Heaven and I hope someday to shake his hand.
