You have to be out of touch with economics to think the stimulus would stop recession and job loss in 4 months. Everything we face now we face because George Bush didn't watch the economy. The crash happened under his watch, along with swaps, a 689 trillion $ derivatives market and an entire financial system that relied on housing prices continuing to climb when everyone knew they were about to fall. Most economists say the stimulus was not large enough.

Unregulated swaps accounted for $60 trillion in bad debt for America. They tell you the meltdown was the fault of poor people, Fannie, Freddie Frank and Dodd. In fact, poor people accounted for only half of the 689 billion $ mess that is subprimes. What will sink you faster? $689 billion or $60 Trillion? Ever hear about the $60 trillion on Fake news? Fannie and Freddie were the ONLY regulated lenders in the market.

To say Republicans tried to stop the crisis by regulating Fannie and Freddie is ignorant. THEY WERE REGULATED! What about the rest of the lenders who were not? NO legislation ever considered. No regulation considered for derivatives. THAT IS CONSERVATIVE POLICY!!!!! The rich get much richer, the poor get much poorer. THAT is what has happened over the past 8 years!
