I think pretty much everybody agrees that the game sucked but the music rocked so hard. This track is my favorite, since the orchestra in it is so amazing. It's incredible what musical instruments can do in a video game these days. This track has such a sinister vibe to it, really stretching out the evil in the character and the tension in the moment

@SegaNightmare I'd disagree. I respect it for having that type of gameplay, but a majority of the game is just slow and bland. Silver, Amy, Knuckles, Rouge, Tails, all have slow gameplay. Even Sonic loses speed abruptly every so often. Also, I guess the plot's a personal thing, but I didn't like it. There are quite a few plotholes in the game. Plus, there's the whole kiss scene...

Explain it to me please. I never played this game, but I looked up the cut scenes. The story seems fine. The voices on the good guy's side is a little annoying, but the animation and the music isn't too bad. So is the game play awful?

@metademetra A lot of people dislike the game because it's glitchy, the story borders on ridiculous at times, and most of the characters aside from Sonic are frustrating to control. The game wasn't polished enough before it was released, and it's very noticeable at times. Awesome music though.

Mephiles is probably the ideal villain/monster in a video game I have seen so far. Let's look at the facts: he looks demonic, has a wickedly evil laugh, his theme is unnerving, he feels no remorse over killing or destroying, he exists for the sole purpose of causing widespread destruction (even wanting to destroy TIME itself), and he manipulates peoples minds to suit his own evil purposes. That is pretty dark for a Sonic game.
