@GianTerence A newly painted car should be allowed to cure for a minimum of 30 days prior to any wax type product is applied. After curing, I would wash the car weekly with a quality car wash, like Zip Wax or ICE car wash, and always follow with either a detail spray or spray wax, like Express Shine or ICE Spray Wax. Weekly upkeep of the finish will maximize your vehicle’s gloss and reflectivity, and will help to preserve the finish for years to come. -Tommy
I suggest using Ice Liquid or Paste Polish or Ice Spray Wax. Ice makes it so easy to wax your car. It will not leave a white powdery residue and you can wax in direct sun. It also helps enhance the look of your trim.
@roxypen Anytime a discoloration occurs on a finish especially after using a car wax like SHS (which is green), then the finish needs to be pre-cleaned or compounded. There is too much surface oxidation holding onto the residual wax. This is a classic symptom of oxidation and a need for finish restoration using a compound. Try using a clay bar on the finish or using Turtle Wax Premium Compound before applying wax. - Tommy
F21 liquid, Ice Paste, and Platinum Ultra Gloss are my favorites from Turtle Wax! Super Hard Shell has never failed me though. I used to use Meguiar's, but because of the quality, I switched to Turtle Wax.
1. Can I safely complete all steps of the Black Box kit using a random orbit buffer?
2. Do I need to wash my car before using the Black spray detailer?
