The tempo is Perfect! Works well with the melody and the words. Well Done! There's nothing more frustrating then singing a long song at such a slow/dragging tempo on a Sunday morning. God Bless!
although it is quite a beautiful hymn, playing the Helmsley tune at this frighteningly fast tempo (in the Catholic Church, at least...) is the only way to keep the Mass under a solid 2 hours.
Noting that your comment appears to imply that you are from the roman catholic church, I was wondering if I could discuss with you the difference between the roman catholic church and the reformed faith, could you perhaps tell me how you believe someone may stand right before God?
Sorry...replied to the wrong person...this is a Rodgers...Allen uses a different system for their "light-up" organs. Also, the design of the console, with the paneling on the sides is very "Rodgers-ish"...lol
Oops...that comment was intended for "Chesterbarnes"...lol...I agree...tempo's pretty quick for me...hymns like this sound so grand with a little slower, more stately tempo. Very accurately played, though...
Huge blessing!!!!! And with the words!! And so many verses! A THOUSAND THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!! We'd visit, if not a zillion miles away!! The Lord bless you as you continue to praise Him. We have been so moved and blessed as we listened.
i think hymns are okayed much too fast these days. There's no majesty in them and plus you don't have time to take in the text.

agreed--the tempo works fine! It makes the verses so joyous and vibrant.

Why is it nonlegato? Do you want the congregation to sing staccato?

Of the versions of this posted on YouTube, this is the best overall, imo.

Well it should be bright and played with a faster tempo. This is a song of rejoicing!

Is the organ electronic, or pipe. Looks like Allen Electronic? Thanks

Agree, it's too fast.

Allen has never done lighted drawknobs. Their "Lumitech" system uses rocker tabs with a small LED in them...this is a Rodgers.

Quick tempo? I don't know anything about music but just think how quickly your swelling heart will beat when Jesus returns! Come LORD Jesus!!!
